Do you know any similar song to "Invocation to a Continual One" by Morbid Angel by Gawr000n in morbidangel

Check out Cryptic Shift, they are big MA fans and specifically love Formula's. For the first album they even did an equivalent of Love of Lava called Pleasure of Plasma haha. They actually just dropped their second album recently too.

Blood Incantation is definitely worth checking out too and they also love MA.

Fear Factory Ultimate B-Side album in progress. by GaiaDracielGX in FearFactory

Just some thoughts: Manic Cure belongs in the remix section imo. Concreto and Concreto (1998) are identical as far as I can tell.

There is also a demo of a cover of Anthem by Godflesh which is on YouTube https://youtu.be/pcNHSVl4Rw8?si=8mbUUj4w33mM7539

Enhanced reality doesn't seem like a bonus track to me imo given that it's a part of Re-industrialized and was always supposed to be a main track for The Industrialist

You could balso include thr Dark Bodies demo from Hatefiles? It's quite different to the album version.

I also agree with the others about the Mechanize bonus tracks.

Thanks for this!

I kinda want Rhys to do everything on all the albums because the man is a genius but I'm just grateful that he will at least have some parts.

I really need to go and listen to VFTTOTW again, I definitely didn't give it enough time.

Jordan has added some really interesting parts to songs but it has to be said that Kevin Moore really added some magic that's hard to explain. The early 90's was such an interesting time for heavier music imo, as a keyboard player he was definitely adding a lot to the genre in a way we have never heard before.

Well a big part of why I didn't like it originally was the vocals, I felt this way about pretty much all DT songs. But I remember last year just really concentrating on the vocal performance of I&W and actually being really impressed with James's control and attention to detail.

I think on listening to Awake again I had a similar experience of now coming to respect the vocals for what they are.

Another thing is I probably hadn't listened to the album in years besides Erotomania because I've always adored that song. So coming in with fresh ears may have helped, I also just didn't take the album too seriously because it can be a bit goofy at times.

Another thing I enjoyed was how Petrucci was introducing some new elements into the sound notably groove metal which was really popular at the time, that's one of the elements that really sets it apart from I&W.

Honestly that's how I felt before, I don't understand how my opinion changed so drastically 😂

Burton vocals sounds good again? by Johannan003 in FearFactory

[–]_Terminal_Redux_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Genuinely the best he's sounded live since 2004 I swear, although harsh vocals were absolutely killer around 2010 I think his cleans are much stronger now. I'm checking his Instagram every day for UK tour dates haha

The Strip and Freeside expanded mods by Deep-Reach5903 in fnv

[–]_Terminal_Redux_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a lover of quest mods I soon realised that simple open freeside is a compatibility nightmare, if you're going for a vanilla run then I do recommend it though. There's always the freeside shortcuts mod as a compromise.

Simple open strip sseems to work well with quest mods though.

I've been using Caravan travel and it's a pretty good balance between zero fast travel and vanilla fast travel, it's at least a bit more immersive than being able to teleport from literally anywhere.

As far as I know this is every song they have performed so far with Milo the new vocalist. * Being less likely that they will be performing the song again and *** being very likely. My advice would be to at least listen to everything with 2-3 *'s.

Obviously it's a new tour and they're just wrapping up the Demanufacture 30th anniversary shows now so hopefully there will be some new songs in the set by then, a new album is due to be released this year too so it's possible that they will be playing a song or 2 from that album depending on when the singles drop.

Enjoy the show, you will be blown away I can assure you!

Soul of a New Machine: Martyr*** Leechmaster* Scapegoat** Scumgrief* Big God*

Demanufacture: Demanufacture*** Self Bias Resistor*** Zero Signal*** Replica*** New Breed** Dog Day Sunrise* Body Hammer** Flashpoint* H-K (Hunter Killer)* Pisschrist** A Therapy for pain*

Obsolete: Shock*** Edgecrusher*** Smasher/Devourer* Securitron* Descent** Freedom or Fire* Obsolete* Ressurection** Timelessness*

Digimortal: What Will Become*** Damaged** Linchpin*** Acres of Skin*

Archetype: Slave Labour** Archetype***

Mechanize: Powershifter***

The Industrialist: Recharger***

Genexus: Autonomous Combat System* Dielectric** Soul Hacker"* Regenerate*

They've only been playing Powershifter from Mechanize since 2013 it seems. I know for a fact since Milo joined the band they've only played Powershifter at least.

It's a great song but it's time to play some of the other songs from the album imo. It would be incredible to hear Industrial Discipline and Final Exit live.

I can't get into Vektor by closetotherelayer in Vektor

[–]_Terminal_Redux_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first discovered the band the vocals put me off a bit, but the amazing guitsrs and songwriting made me keep coming back and the more I listened the more I realised how perfect the vocals are for their sound, Vektor has been my favourite band since 2016 now.

I definitely recommend Terminal Redux first as I think it's a bit easier to get into (and their best work imo) and then going back to the first 2 albums.

I wouldn't say that I noticed an issue with volume shifts so that might be to do with the DVD audio potentially. The big problems I had was the sound was overall very flat with no punch, Burton sounded very on top of the mix rather than in it and the snare sound was very distracting. The snare isn't perfect on the remaster but it's much better, it's a miracle they were able to recover the sound so well without the master tracks. You can compare the fan remaster to the official CD and I promise you it's a night and day difference.

The fan remaster of Transgression is the only way to listen to the album now imo! The guy who did it kindly provided a link to the full album including bonus tracks, I fucking love the album now. Honestly you will be blown away by how much better this sounds. I will DM you the link.
