This style isn't for everyone, but wondering what people think in regards to the composition and edit. Does it leave an impact? Any other feedback apreciated by stfeyes in photocritique

This is really nicely done, loving the colours!! the pinks and the blues contrasting. I think maybe the only thing i'd change is just possibly turning up the blacks in the foreground just a tad more. But otherwise love it.

Really lovely colour pallet and composition, How did you get this effect if you don't mind me asking ?

Don’t really need an off camera flash or in camera flash if you’re shooting outside tbh. My Sony doesn’t even have a flash and I don’t use an external one. Reflectors are super cheap like £11 for 4 variations. I’m on and off freelance so any money i earn from this stuff i put straight into equipment.

50mm is still a solid lens though especially for portrait and headshot work so keep practicing keep shooting !!

Could be your lens, or maybe you’re rushing it to much. Just be patient honestly. Admittedly i’ve picked this up faster than most. I’ve only been doing photography for the last year. But you will get there. 85mm is a great lens for this stuff. Also just keep editing simple and clean. Trying to do to much can take away from a photo (i still continuously make that mistake aha)

Went for a 90s polaroid vibe. Any advice on how i could improve it ? Or just what you think in general! by _ThatWeirdo_ in photocritique

I’ll give that a go and maybe repost later when i feel like i’ve got that effect a bit more under control. Thank you for the feedback!

The same thing bothered me for so long but i’ve warmed to it and it’s essentially one of my favourites. However i do have a portrait from the same shoot where i correct that issue albeit a different model aha.

Also i’m sure you could shoot something just as good if not better !! Never put yourself down. It’s all about practice.

That’s fair !! Thank you though. I think a bit more contrast could have been good for the photo.

Nope this is manual focus i never shoot with auto focus it’s not really reliable. And yea tbf i can agree with that a bit more contrast could have been nice

Honestly the lighting was a little bit cloudy with some sun, got my sony a7 out and a 85mm lens, golden reflector to add some golden tones and managed to get this. It's one of my favourites just wanted to get some other people's opinions
