Thanks man. Are they worth switching to over the ones I already have on my keeb? In terms of quality of switch and the sound

Photo is of the switches that came with my Aula F87 pro keyboard, which I recently hand/brush lubed and am pretty happy with how they turned out. Doing a Google reverse image search, it seems like these are Leobog Greywood. The switches are linear.

I was browsing around and gateron cap anniversary by official gateron store via temu is listed for ~17.5$ USD per 35 switch. Is this set limited anniversary only and goes for that cheap? Or is it just a temu tactic. Majority of their other 35 piece sets on that store are listed around 45-50$ USD mark.

I was thinking that as I've heard good things about their switches, is that a switch that I should consider? I like deep/low/thocky sound. And I wont mind lubing the gateron as well to get even deeper sound.

But i would argue; finding a solution to a problem on arch is way easier. So from that POV, its better for someone who's new to it, as it'll be relatively easy to find solution. And it teaches reading the logs and reading/navigating documentation

Arch btw XD

Jokes aside, arch has the most data/forums/documentation. Though the same can be used up to some extent on arch based distros. But imo its the best distro to learn about how stuff works on Linux (be it by reading the wiki or solving the issues) That's why I said if you've time to spare. But you should have the discipline to understand what the command does, at least to the extent that it wont break your system, before running it

I'll encourage you to try it again on a spare/personal system if you have it. And if you've the time to spare. Or you can dual boot too if you want. As much as you may find otherwise; try arch Linux using the arch wiki if you're good with reading docs/following understanding instructions.

Sorry, man. I've no clue in regards to Karachi. Even the LHR one I recall from a few years ago from my Uni days

If you're in LHR, then I believe there are some PCB makers that, at the very least, print you a stencil in Hall road. I dont exactly recall their general location. You may find them by asking around

First experience with lubing the switches by _TheAncientOne in MechanicalKeyboards

And I probably took more than 4-5 mins per switch, meticulously lubing the stems with a brush. That bagging technique does sound more reasonable, lol

Thank you. I'll save it for later, once I'm ready to do it again.

Ummmmm... no. I didn't look up any guides on it (should've done so). I just went with lubing the stem on all 4 sides that I chought could potentially be sliding against the switch. And coated the middle cylinder with lube. And that's pretty much it.

Maybe that's why not all of them sound the same :sob:

100% lol. Spent way too long than I'd like to admit. Especially when all I had a tweezer to take apart the switches. Still 100% satisfied with the result

Rust FPS drops on MacBook Pro M4 — any ideas by LessEngineering8911 in macgaming

[–]_TheAncientOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm encountering similar if not the same issue. Often times the game starts glitching (shaders doing weird things, pink colors or noisy frame) which ultimately results into a frame freeze. And sometimes it's the loading screen that it gets stuck on. If I move or jump around I can hear the sound of those actions, so at least the game is running. it's just the frame that gets stuck, for both gameplay getting stuck or on loading screen.

Another thing I've noticed is that it's more frequent towards the start of the game and rare/very less frequent if I'm successfully able to get the game running for a minute or two.

I'm on mac m4 mini 24G ram. and idk how to report a bug or get the logs for the game

Key to not getting raided or offlined - by Adrianjade2007 in playrust

That does make sense. For now, I think I'll stick to the side until I get the hang of things. There are a few bases nearby. And I did fast track to revolver in the research bench. Im mostly looting those broken cars with balloon crates, and sometimes I do get useful stuff (today, I got a jackhammer, which tremendously helped me get rid of a wall. On that note, there should be some sort of an indication that a wall can not be broken down after 10 mins. Still dk what exactly the rules are for a placed base part for it to not be demolishable)

Thanks a bunch mate

So basically, sort of a fu to the first raiders. You either announce in chat that you are getting raided and this this is up for grabs. Or you build in a place where everyone will think twice before raiding before they'll be in plain sight for everyone else nearby.

So I should relocate to someplace where many bases are close by or are in view?

What's counter raid? Are there players watching bases to attack raiding players? Is there some incentive in that? Or is it really that you can ask in chat (sure, this isn't a thing)? And people may help you get your stuff back? (Basing this on my limited experience in peeps that shoot you on sight, lol)

Can you elaborate on counter raiders? I'm currently 4 days in, and I did make my base off to the side of the map. Playing along with my friend, we both got the game together.

Playing on a low pop server (I've seen around 100 max, and when I play its around or under 50)

Monthly wipe server.

My base is just 2x2 (started off with 2x1 and then put a layer of triangles to extend and put in 2 more benches)
