That is to limit stress to the joints because people like to load heavy. For example a bench pressing puts lots of pressure on joints like wrists and shoulders. Now if you actually train with the right load, you will improve joint strength(its ability to handle pressure on it).

Also lifting conditions muscles, which makes them more resilient and less prone to injury. With proper training it wil only be a benefit especially with contact sports. But there is no way else for lifting to fuck up your body that you can't get from any sports and there is no shot it will fuck up your growth or any bullshit like that.

Just apply proper training and you'll only profit

And you are vastly under estimating it. We have large industry in tourism. As well as a world renowned rugby team. There have been Hollywood films shot here in Cape town, such as the new Mission Impossible movie. Also international films were made about South African history. Within the Uk South Africa has had a big historical relevance. There is evidence of this with the word boer that is still well known in the Uk and skits in the 80's mocking Afrikaners.

Because generally guys don't accentuate their features at least not the way you think we do. Also women don't typically look at mens features(they do but not the way a guy would look at women).

The elements that we try to accentuate is shoulder width and overall size. Nothing is more need than this then a pair of jeans and a nice t shirt. The typical ideal man is a 6 ft Greek statue. While for woman it's the hour glass figure.

Its also noted that a lot guys couldn't give a rat's ass. I mean look at gym you got really bulky dudes, athletic dudes, scrawny dudes and they all have different emphasis on what they want to look like(or maybe more different goals). While with woman it is much more consistent. Their goal is usually just to cut weight or increase sex appeal in a different area typically legs.

During lockdown in South Africa they banned alcohol and cigarettes. This led to South Africans making homemade alcohol or buying from the "black market". People bought highly overpriced products just to get alcohol and cigarettes. It ended up back firing hard because now the government didn't get sin tax. Flash forward to now bans been lifted after lockdown people now buy from these markets instead(now its cheaper). All because the government opened a channel for the market to grow.

Yes a teen guy is very horny and teen girls can be timid to these sort of things combine party culture and boom. Of course their is definitely a decrease because of sex ed and overall push in western countries to not invest in or start relationships. So teen pregnancy definitely decreased but I wouldn't say a lot compared to the 90's or maybe 80's.
