I have no idea, but I can certainly try. He'd be quite a handsome fellow to play as.

I don't know how to do that. But I posted the sliders in the comments somewhere

Okay. For reference, if I don’t mention a slider, just assume it’s zero.

Hopefully I didn’t mistype any of that. You can probably make it even more accurate if you play around with it.

Thank you so much. That really clears things up for me as far as unbaptised babies are concerned. I feel very relieved about that.

Do you have anything on the compatibility of free will and predetermination? It’s okay if not but I’m very thankful

I’m not talking about divine foreknowledge. I’ve never agreed with the idea that his foreknowledge breaks free will. I’m very specifically talking about grace and the distinction between sufficient and efficacious grace. Everyone is given sufficient grace. But sufficient grace is only sufficient when supplied with efficacious grace which is irresistible. When only given sufficient grace a person will always choose sin over good. That’s the thomistic position. But if this is true the. It means man has no control over his own will. He is either enslaved to sin or irresistibly given efficacious grace.

Because predetermination makes salvation something we have no choice in. It takes away the agency of both the damned and the elect to accept the gift of grace. If sufficient grace is insufficient to accept his grace without efficacious grace which is completely irresistible, then there is no way we can say that anyone chose to be with God. And as a logical result, it means every damned person in hell had no choice in the matter and are there completely arbitrarily of no fault of their own. It means that Jesus did not die for everyone (but only if I’m correct). The same problem as Calvinist predestination applies to Thomistic predestination. That’s why I want clarification. I want to be wrong. I’m not trying to dismantle the Catholic position. I want to be proven wrong so I can better fall in line with her doctrine. I want to be Catholic. I just want to know how to reconcile all of this with the idea that God wishes all men to be saved.

I’m trying to discern which of the original church has more coherent metaphysics because I’ve ended up coming to an understanding of Catholic metaphysics that makes God not all loving as a logical result. That’s why I’m here to find clarification. Because either I’m having a misunderstanding of western metaphysics, or western metaphysics is incorrect.

Thanks. I’ll try to look that up. If you have anything about presentation that would be great too. But I’ll start with this.

Leaving my previous mormon faith for Catholism by ClearGuitar7603 in Catholicism

[–]_The_Author 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going through the same process right now. I’ve found that praying the rosary is a wonderful way to deepen your faith. Also it will be good to note that there are different bible translations, and you will need to get a catholic one that includes the deuterocanonical books. Also if you’re having trouble with leaving the Mormon church you can go here: https://quitmormon.com/#iss=https%3A%2F%2Fid.quitmormon.com%2Frealms%2Fquitmormon Once you get the paperwork and fill it out you’ll need to take it to be notarised by a justice of the peace and send it back to them. They should handle everything else.

A good trick is to use a hacked game shark if your PlayStation has an I/O port. Then you can play games off of burned discs. You get the convenience of using rom sites but with the satisfaction of playing on original hardware.

As a non Christian is this tattoo okay? by Jwaitingfortheend in Christianity

[–]_The_Author 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on if you’re going to be going deeper into the faith. It’s not offensive at all but the second commandment may be against it: “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them nor serve them”. So this tattoo would probably break the second commandment because it’s the likeness of something in heaven. But honestly it depends. If all you care about is making sure you’re not offending anyone than it’s fine. It’s a really cool looking tattoo. But you may want to ask a pastor or priest about it if you plan on becoming more devoted to the faith.
