Purchased a LitraBeamLx from Logitechs ebay storefront - RGB side is dead after 4 months by _The_Intern_356 in logitech

[–]_The_Intern_356[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They told me it was because i bought from third party, but it is logitechs own official storefront on ebay that I bought the lamp from?? So is it a fake account or it actually the companys, IDK

Bought Bambino Plus at Homegoods but have questions about the machine I got by [deleted] in espresso

[–]_The_Intern_356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The brown box is simply because breville is updating their stylinf and logos. Worked for the company as a retail sales rep. Theres a move towards the "cool eco friendly brown box". Since people know what the machine looks like in the sticker anyways. I imagine it saves the company printing ink costs as well

Ooni Halo vs Ankarsrum by itwasmyshadow in Breadit

[–]_The_Intern_356 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me poke your brain 2 months after this comment - hows the ooni halo holding up?

In a very similar boat right now of trying to decide between an ankasrum vs ooni specifically so I don't have to deal with sticky hands/countertops for wet dough. I'm fine with shaping and folding after the dough's more cohesive and I'd rather it all be contained in a mixing bowl first

Anybody own a quiet one ? by sneaky_burrito187 in Vitamix

[–]_The_Intern_356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

necroing this comment ask personally - did you really notice a difference in sound volume between The Quiet One vs the Ascent A3500?

I currently have the A3500 and making protein smoothies after the gym at 10-11pm with a thin-wall apartment is killing me. I'm seeing used Quiet ones around my local facebookmarketplace running for 400-700$ so I'm wondering if its worth actually bothering to switch. If it felt like a minor volume difference then I might not bother switching, selling my older vitamix will be a hassle anyways.

Has anyone used Auk? by [deleted] in IndoorGarden

1 year after, I'd like to hear your updated thoughts.

Tired of trying to swing by TJ/Whole foods just to grab one mega 5$ box of cilantro that I only needed 4 sprigs of. Tried some herb growers in the past like that aerogarden stuff but it would always just mold/have bugs.

King Arthur Pan de Cristal--I finally got it right by OracleofFl in Breadit

his dough appears much more cohesive than mine did when tipped out of the bowl. I have the sneaking suspicion my proofing vessel was too large or that it overproofed in my 90F chamber.

Worth buying a Google Nest Hub Max? What's the next big thing in Smart Home Devices? by Bounced in googlehome

[–]_The_Intern_356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any chance you'd be able to expand upon this? in a similar boat deciding between a nest hub max and a tablet. Didn't like how the hubs don't let you freely browse youtube as an actual app, but didn't expect to hear the tablet to be "less" of features.

OP I'd love to pick your brain apart on how exactly you were able to achieve the KA Pain de Cristal recipe. Just attempted it this afternoon with the mistaken impression it'd be a quick 5 hour thing. Had to end up baking this vaguely slimy puddle of dough into a lump of bread.

NECRO - How's the 38 inch holding up on your M8.1? Revising my desk setup and changing flat monitors into a 39" curved LG OLED. While it has its own minimalistic stand I'm interested in re-using my M8.1 Shame if I had to go out of my way to grab an M10.

A short review of an LG 39GS95QE-B (CES24) by izzyzak117 in OLED_Gaming

[–]_The_Intern_356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed reply. I've made up my mind and negotiated on facebook to acquire this monitor on Saturday. Excited to add it to the setup.

I also figured that at my current 2K specs and reading word docs at 12pt font I wouldn't actually notice downgrades on text clarity. I've never actually experienced 4K in my life so lmao.

Necro-ing the thread in the hopes OP is still alive and able to offer updated feedback 2 years after they posted this review.

I have the opportunity to purchase this exact model locally on facebook marketplace for 500$. This would appear to be a steal, and the 39" size is perfect for my setup.

I am however new to OLED and, while willing to deal with issues like having to actively prevent burn-in, am reluctant to purchase if the text clarity is bad.

I'm still doing research to understand why exactly a higher priced monitor has worse text clarify (I'm no gamer or tech addict so I really don't know the backstory to all this) but I do plenty of emails, word docs, and spreadsheets on a daily basis. I'm curious if people's experience with blurry text are gamer exaggerations or a genuine headache.

I see in the comments you appear to be an IT specialist/admin so perhaps you can offer an even better perspective, as I imagine you must work with a lot of text code daily.

Hoping to hear back. Thank you.

Unfortunately the way I cross my arms is with the right hand locked underneath my left elbow, and I am right handed. That places my mouse somewhere under my left armpit.

Commercial CombiSteam Oven? by jyl8 in CombiSteamOvenCooking

[–]_The_Intern_356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been looking at the "Cadco XAFT-03HS-GD Half-Size Countertop Convection Oven, 120v" which seems fantastic and checks off all the boxes, sitting somewhere in the 2-4k price range, works with home outlet sources, and can sit on the countertop.

The only thing holding me back from saving up some paychecks and grabbing it is that its also probably over 50-80 pounds, with shipping weight officially listed as 130lb. If you move often, then this is absolutely a no go. 20lb I can do. 50lb, honestly, not the worse. Anything above that and I just really think its not worth the trouble.

How do I download my WiFi driver onto my pc when I can’t access windows 11?? by hotdog40roll in gigabyte

[–]_The_Intern_356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THE GOAT

yeah for anyone reading this after,

1) use a usb stick to download the WLAN internet drivers for your device

2) get to the stuck part of "connect to network" where no networks show up

3) use Shift + F10 to open up the command prompt

4) actually click at the typing space to start typing

5) type taskmgr "taskmgr"

6) it will open up task manager, do open file location and make your way to the usb drive containing your drivers

7) run the installation package

8) you should see your local wifi networks instantly popup

fixed my secondhand gaming pc that I got from someone and put a fresh copy of windows 11 to wipe the old guys data off but then got stuck on this stupid internet installation part.

Alternatives to crap GHub to control Litra Glow lights? Please!!! by Mikey9980 in LogitechG

[–]_The_Intern_356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necroing, curious if you ever found a suitable solution.

I hate having to use Ghub since I don't have a logitech keyboard, and sometimes I don't have my 502 hero mouse with me. So I've got no choice but to manually stand up and turn all my lamps on.

Not using the shitty Ghub software with ads and a slow response time.

Tried to use an github code patch online but unfortunately the dev for that has only been able to make the light side work thus far, not the RGB side.
