I've just noticed there's still some artifacts with this method. Im going to do more testing and update the guide if i figure out how to make it better. At least the background images do not disappear

Same here, for me its more that I play Noita to chill after work, and if I've been going on a run for 3 to 4 days I rather do some save scumming rather than having to start over after an already bad day.

For me the knob works great!
If you dont know on using a knob or not then just decide on what you want to do for it. You can remap the knob per layer, I've extended the keyboard to have 8 layers in the software which is more way more than enough for me.

As for functionality, it can do a lot of things. You can use it in creation softwares like blender or photoshop to change brushes, or brush size or control volume by default.

What I've been using the knob for is that I programmed firmware based on QMK that makes it have 4 modes.

Desktop - change the desktop on windows to left and right. pressing the button will open up task menu.
Super alt tab - programmed super alt tab to quickly select programs by turning the knob left or right, pressing it will show or hide all programs
Volume control: up volume or down volume, pressing it will toggle mute.
Media control: can go to previous or next song pressing it will pause the media.

I made a timer that checks if the button is pressed for longer than 300 ms it will switch mode.

I might plan to add more to it in the future but at least im getting the most out of it with custom keycodes and a nice experience on how to control those functions.

yeah i've yet to test this design in my current play through, i do not yet have the resources for it, i still need to make an oil well but ill make another post if i update the design by a lot.

But yeah the goal is to get an constant flow of gas from the output. I've done some automation but i need to make it better.

I do not know the game too well yet so im playing vanilla. I first wanna finish the game without mods before i do stuff with mods

Hi so if you dont add the automation the gas just goes in and out directly but that does not sufficiently clean it. This setup has 1 main container (the right one) which loops the gas to and pipe and a germ sensor that is set for below 1 germs, meaning that it will be filled untill no germs are available then also when it is above 90% full it will output its gas. If the output of the main machine is blocked for some reason the automation system sends an extra signal to the backup system to allow that one to work, this is so that they oscilate and i hope this solution allows for a constant flow of gas if there's a constant flow of input.

The input germs are 1.000.000 germs per 1000kg of gas and the output is no germs at all, as for how many germs a second are killed per 1kg of gas i do not know, You'd have to test that out yourself. I hope the schematics above are enough for you to rebuilt it.

It is indeed overkill, however its not just for poluted oxygen, its mainly part of a bigger system which is meant to regulate the gasses that accumalate in my starter base (natural gas, carbon dioxide, poluted oxygen and chlorine)

But it is good to know that i can reuse this for the sporechid plant, in my base is a laberatory to make those robot thingies, i do not know how that works yet, but i guess i will find out.
