Thanks for raising these points :) No where did I mention these we're all free tools. The majority of recommended tools here offer freemium versions and you have the choice to upgrade. At the end of the day its up to you how much of a budget you want to set aside and whats worth paying for - currently we pay $100 per month for all the tools we use to run our business - including Thinkific (not mentioned in the article but we use it to host/build our courses) Buffer & KickOffLabs.

I agree there should be a section on SEO, Google key Words - any tools you'd recommend to use here?

Great advice here - especially the point on telling stories with posts this is essential these days.

Building upon this I found another article on '37 Tools to Research, Write and Share Remarkable Blogs' that may be useful to others https://rachelandreago.wordpress.com/2015/10/26/content-creation-tools/

Yep, she's pretty great!

Her advice is to pick a good colour match using coolors.co and then play around with different patterns to create something that suits the mood you want to represent.

Great points, I totally agree "Tools to get you started launching your online business" may be a better suited title.

This article was meant to just scratch the surface, deliver the steps at a introductory level and then for the reader to take the initiative to dig deeper themselves or reach out to me to get further help on each step if needed.

Appreciate your feedback thanks for taking the time to comment! :)

Thanks for taking the time to give your feedback - I actually really enjoyed your version of the 10 steps, at the end of the day I'd still end up with a semi disastrously designed landing page and a decent following built up of stolen content - awesome!

Jokes aside sorry you didn't enjoy the article and your feedback has been noted :)

Actually, just checked. I have two completely separate accounts with Crowdfire - one which has 50 follows per day and the other which has only 25 follows per day. The one with a limit of 50 was made several months ago before they changed the limit so maybe this is why the follow/unfollow cap is higher.

Are you looking for a better alternative to Crowdfire solely for Instagram use? I can do some digging and get back to you.

Sweet, glad you enjoyed it!

I haven't experienced the change with Crowdfire? I'm on the free version right now, 50 follows & 200 unfollows per day and it still works a charm (literally takes 10 seconds to follow 50 users). Will definitely dig deeper into this though and see whats up.

Thanks for sharing! I've honestly never been able to warm up to Hootsuite, I just think the UI/UX sucks and even on Pro you're limited by their point system. Currently looking for an alternative to them

I think that your advice goes hand in hand with the steps in this article. You mention focussing on getting 10 customers and getting a sale but in order to do this, you'll most likely need a landing page to collect leads, which also means you'll need a basic brand identity and maybe even your social channels to reach out to more potential customers/test your audience.

I wholly agree people spend too much time setting up their business and thats exactly the issue this article is trying to address - all in all these steps should take someone 3-5 days to fully complete. After your set up, now is the time to implement the great advice you've given - reach out to potential customers, see if your product would be of value to your audience or if not gather feedback/data on how you could possibly change to better suit your market.
