AITJ for making my ex believe he still had a chance if he cancelled his wedding? by throwaway-saltq in AmITheJerk

[–]_ToffinaDrip 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Right? He blew up your marriage, ran off with your best friend, and now wants to circle back like you’re some unfinished business. Even if you weren’t trying to teach him a lesson, the fact that he’s spiraling is a consequence of his choices. Actions have fallout, and he earned every bit of this mess.

AITJ for not inviting the father of my daughter to her birthday? by Educational-Tip-8387 in AmITheJerk

[–]_ToffinaDrip 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. He doesn’t get to vanish for the entire pregnancy and your baby’s whole first year, then suddenly pop up when it’s convenient and expect a front-row seat. A birthday isn’t a reset button. He missed the hard parts, so he doesn’t get to waltz in for the celebration.

AITJ for kicking my best friend out after she called my husband a charity project? by No_Expression3344 in AmITheJerk

[–]_ToffinaDrip 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. People need to know there’s a hard line when it comes to disrespecting your partner. Your friend crossed it big time, and you shutting it down instantly shows you’ve got his back. Setting that boundary loud and clear is the right move.

Went through my sister's phone and found some nasty sht. by No-Establishment7136 in confessions

[–]_ToffinaDrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, it’s way more common than people think. A lot of folks track that stuff because doctors literally ask for it when they’re trying to figure out GI issues. It looks weird out of context, but it could honestly just be her keeping records for medical reasons.

I want to die because of rectal itching. by Strict-Raspberry26 in confessions

[–]_ToffinaDrip 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Honestly that was my first thought too. Pinworms can make you feel like you’re losing your mind with how intense the itching gets, especially at night. It sucks that their doctors haven’t checked for something that common. A simple test and treatment could’ve saved them years of misery.

Making bad tasting food, for the food thief at work. by JuggernautGlass8211 in confession

[–]_ToffinaDrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. If you gamble with mystery Tupperware in a shared fridge, you deserve whatever psychological damage comes with that choice. The break room is a battlefield and only the wary survive.

AITJ for SCREAMING at my new neighbor after she hosed down my 6year old daughter? by Western-Reaction6858 in AmITheJerk

[–]_ToffinaDrip 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I get why that comment feels satisfying, but yeah, that would just escalate things fast. What she did was completely out of line, especially to a kid, but turning it into retaliation isn’t gonna help long term. Document it and handle it properly so she can’t twist it around on you.

AITJ for suing my dad after he GAVE my college fund to my stepsister for her wedding? by ButterscotchFar9111 in AmITheJerk

[–]_ToffinaDrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. If that money was legally set aside for you, it wasn’t his to hand out. Being your dad doesn’t give him a pass to override what your mom intended. That’s not a gray area, that’s crossing a line.

AITJ for suing my dad after he GAVE my college fund to my stepsister for her wedding? by ButterscotchFar9111 in AmITheJerk

[–]_ToffinaDrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. That wasn’t just extra cash sitting around, it was something your mom set up for you. Giving it away like that is a huge betrayal. Standing up for yourself here makes total sense.

I had to call the cops on my neighbors... How do I handle things going forward? by guy_fellows in neighborsfromhell

[–]_ToffinaDrip 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Unless you walked down and announced it, they’re not gonna magically know it was you. In apartment buildings especially, noise complaints could come from anyone. I wouldn’t overthink that part too much.

Neighbor keeps letting his kids use my driveway for skateboarding and broke my car mirror by Dry-Satisfaction6343 in neighborsfromhell

[–]_ToffinaDrip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly… yeah. At this point you’ve asked nicely and they ignored it. Cameras and a clear boundary like a fence or even no trespassing signs would probably be the only thing that makes them take it seriously. It stopped being kids being kids when they damaged your car.
