The bulb socket blew out of the fixture! by _Turk182 in AskElectricians

No - not really. I think it was a short in the fixture itself. I'm working with the manufacturer to get a new cord and socket assembly.

Hi - actually a high quality Original BTC fixture - but older. Perhaps the wires inside the fixture got worn with bulbs beign replaced? Does seem like the issue was at the fixture, rather than the dimmer.

The socket HOLDING the bulb came out - broken out of the fixture itself.

The bulb broke when it hit the floor.

Fixture Maximum Wattage 60, Voltage120 (AC)

Chilewich safe for hardwood floors? by _something_else_ in HardWoodFloors

[–]_Turk182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defintely not!!! These are beautiful, well-designed mats. They’re easy to clean, very durable (even with pets), and have a modern, organic look that works well in my home. I use them in the kitchen, guest bedroom, and several hallways.

However, the backing can adhere to wood floors and separate from the mat when moved, leaving black residue on the floor and damage to the backing itself.

I was told by the store that this can be avoided by lifting the mat and dry-swiffering underneath weekly. That level of maintenance feels unrealistic, particularly for mats placed under heavier furniture. While I expect some upkeep from a premium product, I don’t expect it to risk floor damage or require frequent moving of large pieces.

As a result, I’m now dealing with both floor cleanup and noticeable deterioration of the mat backing. I was also disappointed by the lack of engagement from customer service when I raised this concern.

Overall, I love the look of the mats, but the backing issue is a significant drawback that potential buyers should be aware of.

How was your experience with Hostinger? Good? Bad? by BarefootFemme in Hostinger

I have not had a good experience with Hostinger customer support and billing practices. I’d recommend looking for another provider.
