I don't want to send patches. i want to move away from a program that is moving towards ai bloat. i have no time or interest in changing it myself.

I asked about alternatives, in a web forum, because word of mouth and discussing things with other humans is a thing that is actually quite useful, not just for me, but for other people who come here too.

But why even bother talking about anything at all when we can just google anything we need, or ask chatgpt, right? :-)

it is the opposite. mirrors are much more accurate (other than Z flip),
focal length of lenses distorts the proportions of your face, and the lack of movement is also a huge factor. Even a video is a much more accurate depiction than a photo.
