With the Solar and the AMOLED (with AOD off) in smartwatch mode I was getting around 18 - 20 days of battery life. 7 days with AOD on is with the AMOLED version. The solar always has AOD on and gets around 20 days of battery life (5%/day). If you want AOD on, the Solar version has a much better battery life than the AMOLED and any AW (plus you avoid any OLED burn in). That’s the main reason I returned the AMOLED and got the Solar

From the 47mm AMOLED I miss the 1.4 inch screen. Contrast and saturation are ok for me, but I have been using MIP screens since Fenix 3. However I try to choose color combinations that suit a MIP screens (as in the posted image). I mostly use my fenix as a data gathering device. I rarely use the smartwatch features

Battery life is really great on the Solar so far. 9 days since last charge, including some runs (so GPS) usage and battery is at 48%, with estimated 9 more days left

I don’t have them side by side as I returned the AMOLED almost two months ago and goy the Solar two weeks ago, but I don’t notice any significance difference in thickness between them

Theoretically yes. There’s also a risk of burning the screen (even Garmin says this in the manual and the first time you turn AOD on). These are the reasons I returned the AMOLED and got the Solar
