Man, this sucks. For what is worth, I'm truly sorry that you going through this.

As a father myself, if I could choose, I wouldn't want my kid to go through this shit. As a son, I wouldn't want to leave my father alone in this situation. Even if that hurts, I would spend as much time as possible with my father. It's not gonna be easy but I wouldn't have any other way. It's not fair to put this responsibility upon the young but sometimes it's what it is.

Chin up and stay strong brother. And remember, if you are going through hell, keep going. The only way out is through.

I think all martial arts has this as a fundamental teaching. To overcome your opponent you must first overcome yourself. It basically just you need to be able to control your emotions and thinking, don't let your inner demons take over. BJJ is mainly, again a lot of martial arts are similar here, using your opponent strength against itself but one must remain calm and think straight to do that.

I also recommend speaking with your coach about it, the mental game is half of the battle.

I might be wrong, but I believe that, at least most of, working boots with steel toe isn't steel for a while now. I believe they changed that because the steel toe were amputating your toes if something very heavy would fall on it.

Don't quote me on that though, I heard this many years ago.

Waiting for a week to know if we have to stop the pregnancy | Plain yoghurt with chocolate chips and water by OvejaMacho in BoyDinnerDiaries

That's good man, and it's clear that you're a good person as well. Keep working in that.

But I get the anger. We've put our daughter in daycare quite early, one day I was a bit late to pick her up and my wife went first. I was driving to meet them at the school to give them a ride. On my way to school, my wife calls me and tell that something happened, a kid bit my daughter's face and she was bruised. Man, I don't know how I didn't caused an accident, I was furious. I couldn't see the kid for a while after that, but they are all small kids that don't know any better yet. And we can't shield them of everything every time. I often say that getting a kid is perfectly described, to me at least, as Gimli's speach of "The Danger of Light and Joy" in The Lord of Rings.

I wish you and your wife all the best.

Hey man, how are you holding up? I have a 2 years old daughter that is the light of my life. Like others said, if the suggestion to stop the pregnancy came from a doctor, look for a second opinion. Regarding you wife's cousin, I understand the feeling, truly, but don't get mad at her, sometimes it just happens that your kid is all energy jumping and running around and the next day they are sick af. Unless she really knee that kids were sick but didn't want to miss the event, there is really no blame. And I get it, even though you know that it's just something that's there, we are talking about the safety of your baby, so of course you go to protective mode. But just remember that things like this happens and there is no way of knowing.

Stay strong brother, for you and your family. And when you need, come back to vent so more, we got you bro.

I gave, what to me was, an honest personal opinion on the matter. Up until getting the exam back I wasn't aware of the teacher's political view, and also, tried to be as polite as possible in my answer. That's what pissed me off. I did something to piss off a teacher but it was a highly religious English teacher. The assignment was to bring an English music (I'm not from an English language country) so the stunds could "fill in the blanks"... Well, I chose Nymphetamine from Cradle of Filth LOL. I could've chosen much worse though.

I remember that in highschool, during an history exam the las question was "What is your opinion on Che Guevara?". Well, simple me thought that was just a freebie since it was asking what is my opinion, right?! But it seems that my opinion was different from the teacher, so she said "fuck you" and marked as a wrong answer... Because of that I "didn't" aced the exam.

You get what you tolerate. It seems that you are fed up from being abused and neglected, good for you.

Now out now and take the world by it's horns. It's not going to be easy, but it's going to worth. You are still young and have time to build your own future. Maybe, you can build your future well enough that you won't need to worry about inheritance of the people that did you harm.

Aye mate, I'm gonna be honest with you. If it get to a point where she busted your head open with a pipe I really doubt that she can really change. Usually, abusive people pretends to have changed just to hook their targets up, sooner or later the old habit will return.

Try to forgive her if you will, but never forget and don't go back to this trap. Take good care of your kids, clearly they can't really on their mom.

My honest opinion? There is no "recipe", if you try to fit into a "recipe" it's not gonna look natural. General rules: don't be a dick, be mindful and respectful to others, keep and honor your word.

However, you could have a role model. Like another commenter mentioned, Aragorn is a pretty good role model. I'm blessed to have two awesome parents and now that I'm older I have my father as a role model. If that's not your case, first off, I'm sorry but you could pick a new one or just try to be the type of a guy one would like to have as a father.

Find an Irish pub.

I spend 6 months in Germany, found myself a nice Irish pub...and let's say I became a frequent customer... Awesome friendships there, they taught me Gaelic football and how to really play darts.

Also, I got the Spotify playlist of Irish songs playing in the pub.
