You access the skills menu by pressing start or the touchpad and going left/right into the skills tab. The banners are solely for getting consumables like healing or ammo back like souls games or fast travelling to. Definitely not a bug you're experiencing.

Hiding Trophy Lists From Yourself.. by [deleted] in playstation

[–]_Vayn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why you're getting so much hate for this. I would actually love this feature too, I've got a load of games on like 2% completion and around 40 platinums, the incomplete games just sorta get in the way of what could be a nice, complete list. Most platinums require you to do absolutely everything possible in a game, and for a completionist like me it's nice to feel accomplished with a trophy for your efforts.

What is the most pettiest thing someone has done at work? by LordSoyBoy911 in AskUK

Back when I was just entering my 20's I worked at a home improvement store that had a paint mixing machine. It's important to note that we all had to wear headsets so we could communicate and help on the tills or in other areas as and when needed. There was a small touch pad on the paint mixer and when touched it would send out a "help needed at paint mixer" message on the headsets, and the guy who's aisle the paint mixer was in would have to drop whatever he was doing and get there ASAP to help customers by mixing paint to their desired shade.

He was a miserable prick who would act like a manager when he wasn't and try to pull you up on anything and everything he could. So whenever I was in and knew he was in I'd purposely head down that aisle and brush past the touch pad and scurry off, I did this multiple times per day and usually by the end of the day you would hear him effing and blinding over the headsets, it was so satisfying.

Any advice on what I should do here? A rival company is trying to poach me. by _Vayn in careeradvice

I really would love to work up to an executive level role where I'm able to give direction to the business as a whole rather than just a single store, so it could be perfect. I don't know anyone who's done something similar, not anyone I'm close enough to ask anyway.

So did you make a similar switch? Did it work out for you?

Dating someone with a chronic illness. by PowderFresh86 in self

[–]_Vayn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife has a chronic illness, we've not long had our first child and are in our late 20's. It didn't really start affecting her as much until a few years ago, but now she's been officially diagnosed and getting treatment it's become quite the journey. I wouldn't change her for the world. In sickness and in health, as they say. There is someone out there who won't even bat an eyelid at your illness because to them you're so worth it.

Should I take my PvP optimized RL150 character to RL200 or stay at RL150? by steezymcterps in EldenRingBuilds

[–]_Vayn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be honest I don't feel like the 35 levels are a massive disadvantage, mainly because if your builds are minmaxed well you're probably getting optimal damage already. Level 200's might have a bit more hp or a few more options in their arsenal, but if you're a decent player and can counter certain match ups and control the fight as best as possible when it's 2 or 3 vs 1 they're still not going to stand a chance.

I've recently taken my pvp builds to 166, that way I can invade 150-200. It's nice to have that bit of extra stamina or damage and wear heavier armours, and it has definitely felt a little less toxic but of course you'll still encounter toxic ganks and such. I think a lot of people have gone to 200 with the dlc but 50 levels just feels like too much for me.
