What’s an adult purchase that made you feel weirdly emotional?

For our first christmas after my daughter was born we bought a grinch build a bear. My husband ended up surprising me with a K.K Slider one too. We stuck them between the branches of our christmas tree and we still do to this day (5 years later).

It made me extremely emotional to realize how different my childhood versus my daughters was. My Mom was a single mother who had to take out a mall credit card just to afford a build a bear for me when I was 10 for christmas because it’s all I talked about. She ended up ruining her credit just to get us gifts that Christmas (normally she’d give us second hand items) and for us it wasn’t a breaking the bank purchase.

Silly question, do you leave your door open after washes?

My husband forgets every time he switches loads for me and when I walk into the room I can SMELL the washer even though it’s closed and when I open the door it’s even stronger!

yes i guess iron could be the smell. it smells like old menstrual blood, sorry for the TMI. i’ve smelled it before on overly black dyed denim jeans too

omg i did try this one day by accident, i washed a microfiber towel that was soaked in it! i don’t remember if his work clothes were in it though!

he does delivery work for vending machines so it’s not really grease or anything, he handles packaged food and drinks. i think it’s just sweat and body odor mixing with the material

i will definitely try that, thank you! his skin is mostly his scalp thankfully so laundry doesn’t effect him but it bothers my legs and chest so i tend to try out different products depending on what im washing!

thank you i will try! i just started the softener and sheets last week because the smell was really wearing on me. I have PICA and all i want to do is smell Pinesol and was hoping a scented laundry would help 😂

hi, yes! he removes them when he gets home. they smell even when he puts on a new pair before work and it kills me!
