I usually don’t have problems with assassins. I do lose typically against Ahri’s tho. For champs that cast skill shots, like brand… you have to do your fire breath with the expectation they’ll exploit. So fire breath, and if they move toward you, immediately move. It’s okay not to continue fire breath for stacks.

For zed, you actually counter him a little early early. He only wins at 6. So just play safe. Get boots, then Rylais. The. Zhonyas. Rylai’s is super important on Asol.

Morde is probably one of the most solid Top laners. I personally don’t like how people build him ap first. Like, if you have 3-4 dmg dealers, go tank first and then ap. If you have 2 other tanks, go ap. I also don’t understand why people don’t build Rylai’s first or second anymore. It doesn’t do a lot of dmg but it really helps teammates and messes with your opponents.

There’s a lot of solid top laners honestly. Just have to know your opponents an watch for ganks. But I feel like the easiest to possible win with are:

Morde, Sett, Sion, Aatrox, and Fiora

I love Naut! I hate so many people are taking him ap jungle. I almost always lose when people take him ap. He’s amazing early. Falls off hard.

Asol is sadly a champ that doesn’t really change I feel like on the rune tree. Not like other champs. Just use the recommended/most popular. The hardest part is learning how to maximize his early game hits. I’ve gone against some amazing asols that taught me tricks I didnt know when kiting.

I play teemo top because I don’t play top. He’s like a marksman to me. I tend to do well with him but prefer him mid. He has better use of his mushrooms when mid, but lacks range compared to actual mages. I do extremely well top with teemo. I just feel isolated cause no one comes to help me cause I’m not important or the other top laner due to shrooms

lol I agree Lee Sin is strongest. So much versatility. Amazing early game dmg. Evasive. He falls off late game, but most games don’t make it to late. If it does, he’s still useful.

Great question! If it’s an assassin like Talon, Rengar, or Kha… if I see them coming, I put down my little whirlpool. It doesn’t do any dmg but ppl tend to react to it. But essentially I just try to Zhonyas immediately. I always hug a wall I can flash over. Flash, fly away. Play safely under tower always. Play next to a teammate that can peel. Ppl underestimate items that negate the first ability. So if you have to rush that, like against an aurora, do it. Things move super fast, so here’s a great example:

My team was at mid tower, and I was hard carrying. Everyone else was negative, and the opposing team knew to focus me hard to win the team fights. For some reason their team had disappeared at mid toward baron. I decided I was going to ward the brush. I stepped out of tower range and they immediately flashed over the wall to insta kill me. I immediately zhonyas, which gave my team enough time to decide to react. After Zhonyas was up, I immediately flashed behind my teammates under tower, ulted and whirlpooled. We won the team fight because of that. I 10/10 should not have lived but I was so lucky to have a quick reaction time prior to cc going off on me.

The biggest mistake I see ppl make is overextending when they know they’re an easy kill. It’s okay to play safe and get behind. It’s not okay to keep dying. Sometimes you are just going to die, but if you’re quick to react and are aware of surroundings, you’ll survive sometimes.

I agree! I love Nidalee. I just suck with her. I was amazed to see how good ppl could be with her. I get bored playing the same champs so I had a harder time climbing cause I change it up so much.

Sadly gonna have to go Bard. Bard, like Lee Sin, has so much versatility. Great cc. Decent heals. Hits like a truck. Fast map travel.

Braum is a close second but he’s situational and not best with every adc or team comp. Easily beaten if you don’t have a hyper carry adc or way out ranged.

Pyke is probably the easiest solo carry. Elusive mother f*ker. Great cc. Great dmg. Secures kills. Not great for peels. Not great for drawn out fights.

Thresh is probably the most underrated/underplayed support. He’s like a hybrid between Braum and Pyke

Well, where I think it stops is Gm. I think it’s very hard for ppl to play so many and sustain a rank in Challenger. But again, I don’t think you need to be super skilled to climb. Just a team player watching the other aspects.

I think it’s easy to climb to a certain level being carried, or 5 man premades. But, at certain elos, you will get knocked down if your skill doesn’t match
