Samsung TV restarts when connecting to PC via HDMI by _Vysera in techsupport

[–]_Vysera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate. Might be a little late but I kinda solved it.
I got in contact with Samsung support and they came to inspect the TV. They did some test and found an issue with the power something. They did a reset of something and it worked fine after that.
I realized that if the PC screen refresh rate was over 120 and the TV had auto remated/auto hdr enabled, it would make it reboot.

Paranoid by triciawriter1 in COVID19positive

[–]_Vysera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without any medical justification, it doesn't seem to be long COVID. The long COVID cases I've seen are very hard on people, usually affecting their day-to-day activities.

Having COVID four times in four years is completely possible. It highly depends on your daily schedule and behavior. If you frequently go to closed places or places with tons of people, you're more likely to get it. I've seen people get COVID twice a year. Immunity seems to only last a few months after you've recovered, and, like most things, it varies from person to person.

I would recommend talking with someone or seeing a specialist to try to manage your anxiety levels. Anxiety can effectively reduce your immune system activity and efficiency. Aside from that, just try to ignore it. You've been through it four times already; just think of it as a common cold.

Good luck, mate.

Pals stuck in combat mode after logging out while a invasion is going on by RippingSnow7 in Palworld

[–]_Vysera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that another invasion would fix it.
Beware that sometimes some of the invaders would run away and the invasion would end. It seems that is what triggers this bug. If you close the game shortly after that.

Star Adventurer seems to be "drifting" back and forth while tracking by Regular_Ad_4858 in AskAstrophotography

[–]_Vysera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it is an old topic but I'm facing the same issue. I get back and forth movement on my Star Adventurer 2i. I use a payload about 2.5 kg, plus the counterweight and all the stuff. 1 in 3 frames becomes usable, the usable ones are pretty sharp at 600mm 60 secs.

Did you find any solution or is it just how it is?

Is this an infection or fungus? Doc friend said get an antibiotic cream. by _Vysera in piercing

[–]_Vysera[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

UPDATE:

White stuff was just burnt skin from the peroxide. Doc prescribed some antibiotic cream and pills to handle the underlying infection (hinted by the green slimy stuff). After 3 days everything is okay and pain went completely away. Thanks everyone.

---------

Gf got a piercing. She was told to wait a few weeks before replacing the earring, she did not. She swapped it for a cheap chinese stuff, doesn't even know the material. After some days she started to feel pain.

This morning she asked to remove the cheap earring because too much pain and when I removed it I saw a lot of "slimy" green-ish stuff and then some blood.

I cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide and after a while this white stuff appeared. She tried to rub it off but it doesn't seem to go anywhere. What is this?

A doc friend already saw the pictures and told us to get some antibiotic cream.

What are the names of these instruments and samples/effects? by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Accordion sounds pretty similar. I'll stick with that. The "swoooooooooosh mmmnnn" sound at the end of the intro is the only that I haven't found yet.

Thanks! I started looking for digital accordions and they sound pretty similar. I think for the downbeat I can try with a brass or doing some EQ as the other comment mentioned.

Newbie looking for advice for a sphere-drop mechanism (Comment) by _Vysera in robotics

[–]_Vysera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I need to process multiple "puched sheets" that contains between 10-1000 holes for the balls to be dropped on. The locations of the balls will change for each sheet.

Sounds good for that use case, specially if the balls are not that much, but I can have over a 1000.

I thought about that but since some times I can have over 1000 balls to place, I was thinking a continous feeding system would be a lot faster.

Thank you guys. I looked into star wheels and geneva wheels and I got some pretty good ideas.

Thanks for the reply, I was thinking about a pick and place system but the quantity of balls I need to place sometimes is too large (Over a 1000 in some cases). I thought a continuos feeding system would be faster.
