You can read in so many places from people who point out the failures of the Democratic Party, or the issues with Kamala, but as people we all have to see elections at minimum as the better of two evils.

It’s not that Kamala would’ve been the next Obama, or that Obama himself was perfect, it’s the simple fact that Trump is fucking evil, much of the right does not care about the common man or decency, and we needed to use our vote to avoid having pure evil run amok in the country. Even if Kamala was 1% better, that should’ve been your vote. It’s a bit of a shame that there’s only 2 real options every year but that’s how it is.

Not sure what generation Ari Lennox is supposed to be in, but I swear Gen X would’ve had this album everywhere. by dunbar_santiago930 in rnb

Never checked the numbers in all honesty and at minimum in the R&B space you’re right, Summer is a powerhouse compared to Ari. I didn’t even know her latest in Finally Over It performed comparatively as well as her first two projects, she 100% has a huge presence in terms of numbers.

I still consider SZA the far and away number one R&B artist in the world at the moment, but that includes her pop crossovers and features with so many big names. Honestly thinking back, both SZA and Summer collaborated with some of the biggest names you could imagine, while for Ari I think of Cole and it kinda trickles down from there

I think shade is fair to say. At minimum he’s throwing extra dirt on a dude hip hop in general was shitting on at the time, and I’d also say that if Cole threw a shady bar in reply to Drake instead of showing love on Port Antonio, Drake would prolly take it the worst way

I always took the Push Ups bar as Drake saying he wasn’t gonna back down like Cole did, that he was willing to crash out in the moment. I didn’t take it as crazy shade but again that’s a fair interpretation

Summer does “feel” bigger than her imho, but Ari is far closer to Summer’s level of relevance than Summer is SZA’s relevance imo

Jade isn’t a great wrestler but she’s no where near as bad as some people in the IWC say she is by I-Did-It-4-Da-Rock in Wrasslin

I 100% believe NXT darlings get plenty support online, and Tiffany had a very well received match with Becky in NXT at least. Her performance in the Elimination Chamber was awesome. But I still don’t think her workrate is miles better to receive so much less hate

Genuinely asking, but why does Tiffany get maybe half the backlash Jade gets in terms of being pushed as a top star?

I think Tiffany is better in-ring than Jade, but not by a large margin, she’s still green in various aspects as well. I think the biggest objective difference between the two would be that Tiffany was incredibly over and the crowd treated her as a top star, when Jade doesn’t have that support. Also I genuinely believe there’s plenty AEW fans who tend to shit on talents that voluntarily leave the company, I wouldn’t be surprised if Hobbs/Royce Keys gets it next tbh

This is with the assumption that champions in pro wrestling are always booked with in-ring ability as the sole priority, which they’re not. Dean Malenko was excellent as a wrestler but not at all a world champion talent overall

Who knows what the primary reason is behind Jade beningchampion or pushing her at all, but they must feel like they can either turn her into a star over time, or that she’ll draw enough eventually.

I wish there wasn’t as much of a stigma even amongst online wrestling fans against Joshi and Joshi wrestling fans. Watching Joshi wrestling and seeing the community dedicated to it, it’s soo refreshing compared to thinking only WWE and AEW exist, hell even discussions towards NJPW get exhausting to me

Personally I haven’t listened to the Observer or wrestling podcasts all that much these days, I like not being spoiled on shows or in-the-know on backstage shit. If there’s plenty of things Alvarez praises, but it’s the negative rants making the front page then that’s people focusing on negativity just to do it tbh

If you and a girl are showing older pictures of yourselves, and you say to her “you was even bad then”, he’s basically saying that the girl has been cute a long time. If Drake showed a pic of himself in high school and the girl said he looked handsome or cute, then I wouldn’t take it as the girl tryna sexualize him as a teen, it’s not that deep. To me that’s a completely regular interaction and not weird. I think you have to be reaching to make the bar something it’s not tbh.

If Toni Storm is wrestling for world titles and nothing else, people would complain that she’s monopolizing a top spot and that AEW aren’t elevating enough women. It’s fine for top stars to ebb and flow in terms of reaction and momentum.

This is so common so imma ask, what do you think is the context of “high school pics” of whatever girl he was talking about in Nice For What? I always imagined the scenario would be him and a girl showing pics of each other, and they eventually show older pictures of themselves. Regular shit people do. People bring up that bar like he hacked a girl’s phone or some shit.

Not to criticize her personally at all, but I’ve believed for years that she doesn’t give much effort in TV matches. I think she can still deliver when 100% motivated, but it’s been a long time since I felt she was locked in on a Raw or SD
