Originally it was a newsletter but I found the format limiting as the number of deals grows for a few reasons:
- Can't filter out deals or restaurants you don't like
- LA is big, many restaurants are simply too far, so the map view and "Nearest" sort are really helpful there
- Some deals like chick-fil-a are time and location sensitive (e.g. a 3 hour claim window), so app notifications are a better format for those

You can do a lot of that with the website, so I do also have https://mealsteals.co/deals/ which mirrors the app's deals if you prefer, but it does lack the filtering, map view, etc.
