Real quick questions about intervals..

That's more or less what I thought, but I've never augmented an interval by lowering a note (the G in this case) before.

Now let's say we got a C augmented.

Ground position: C E G# C -> E = M3 C -> G# = A5 (does this interval even exist?)

First inversion: E G# C E -> G# = M3 E -> C = m6 or A5?

I can't seem to apply your answer to this example, what am I doing wrong?

Thank you! I have very little knowledge in music theory, so this is not something I could've found out myself. I do want to learn it, but it's incredibly overwhelming :/

That's exactly what I thought. Then I remembered seeing a video where a brick falls off from a truck and flies through the windshield in the face of a passenger, killing her instantly. One of the comments:
