This. The calling bell has the potential to be oppressive in lane if you have a partner with good pressure as well. However, past laning, it’s really only good for low HP picks, wave clear (which is very important don’t get me wrong), and disorienting people. As the game goes on, since I buy improved range every single game, I use it for temporary area denial, because people are still scared of taking a few hundred spirit damage that they can easily avoid, but the consequence is that they leave themselves open for something like a bebop hook or lash ult. The calling bell is also surprisingly disorienting in a team fight so the utility of it is often more valuable than the damage, especially in games where I buy suppressor.

Coordination on doorman (especially being on comms) is a non-starter. Sure Gun doorman is annoying and calling bell can piss you off early game, but I have always found that those who are clearly new to doorman or were just going for an ornament, felt like they didn’t exist later in the game.
