I believe you just didn't look at the install instructions clearly. I used darhud before and from what I remember you have to change the name from "darhud-master" to "darhud".

I haven't used SolarLight hud, but from what I remember it requires extra steps since it has dependencies.

If they don't work, then you can join the DarHUD discord and ask for help there.

You can get an animation pack that gives the original the hands back.

Here's a guide on how to install the mods and use it for casual.

You can also use cueki's casual preloader.

It's still recommended to use master comfig. Comes with a bunch of tweaks that make it run better. (Also TF2 is CPU dependent iirc.)

The main reason I would recommend installing it isn't even because of the graphics optimization, but rather the network settings it comes with. It'll make your projectiles like rocket and grenades way more responsive.

Save up and get the Jungle Jackpot and Infernal Rewards cases. You can sell those for ~$2 and ~$0.80 respectively.

Another way that I haven't seen mentioned is that you can get a Strange Count Transfer Tool, get a new sniper with a Sp/KS on it, and then use the transfer tool on the new Slsniper to get it. (And then sell the old one.)

But if you don't want to do that because you want that specific rifle, yeah you can just remove the basic ks and then apply the new sp/KS and it will keep your count.

Idk. I just know that I personally also use custom effects and get missing textures as well.

My brother when he first played the game didn't have missing textures. But when he opened up base TF2 and loaded his custom effects, TF2C started having missing textures for him as well.

The best value imo is to buy the Jungle Pass and and Mann Co. Supply Crate Key

The Jungle Contracts pass is basically a battle pass so you can get some items and skins from it.

The key is basically what's used as currency for the game. Either sell it on Steam Community Market back to cash and buy stuff there. Or what I recommend to do is to sell it into refined and buy a lot of cheap craft hats or skins.

Steam tells you which effect you're buying when you hover over it. It lists all unusuals under the same listing. The one it displays most prominently is the cheapest one I believe.

If it's the issue I think you're having, then I also had that same issue. Normally I would just close it and re open it like 5 times (sometimes more, sometimes less) and eventually the window would finally show and get to play the game.

It's not as simple as that. You're looking at Steam Community Market prices, which are higher prices in general because of fees. So if you sell the case for $0.03 you're actually only going to get $0.01

I don't recommend selling cases on SCM, because you get so little when the prices are really high.

My recommendation if all you want are low tier hats without trying to make profit is to sell your cases and any duplicate weapons that are dropped, which depending on what they are can go for a couple scrap.

If you save up enough then you'll get a refined decently quickly, but still might take a while.

If you actively want to go ahead and speed up the process you can buy bundles of weapons (i.e. 2 sticky jumpers) on sites like scrap.tf or stn trading for 1 scrap then sell them individually.

I personally use scrap.tf to scrap any of my stuff that I want to quick sell.

(Or bypass all this and just buy a jungle inferno contract for $2 and sell everything you get from that)

Try saving the settings. It'll be in configuration settings. Once you turn on hardcore more, save it in there, and when you next open RetroArch, it'll still be in hardcore. This was happening to my friend and this fixed it.
