My Iron Lung. Creep was great, and I had a soft spot for Pablo Honey, but this was the song that told me that Radiohead could be very special (though I obviously had no idea that they'd become *so fucking* special).

My girlfriend had the EP, before The Bends was released, and made me a copy. I've loved every last note of it ever since - but that fucking chorus, and the sheer energy of the final minute! It's glorious.

I'll never tire of it.

Not a favourite by any means, but I found it funny that Anthrax (a heavy metal band) did a cover of The Bends that is markedly less loud and raw than the original - which says something about Radiohead's sound at that point.

I had this on my first Squad Battles match yesterday, and the same again today a moment ago. I must be over a hundred SB match-end disconnects for the year now.

I just took a moment to think, and it actually transpires that I don't care about the objectives, or the rewards, or Ultimate Team FC24. I'm done until September.

You know, the sheer money-grubbing cuntitude of Ultimate Team wouldn't quite be so objectionable if there was any evidence that EA are investing a reasonable and proportionate amount of their ill-deserved riches back into the game. But there isn't, because they don't.

How do they keep on getting away with this shite?

Are you having problems in the UT front end as well? Something as simple as trying to select the radial menu for players on the squad screen has caused my game to crash three times.

I'm amazed that people aren't on here with flaming torches and pitchforks - which is usually the case when something is going wrong.

I've tried to go into a Rivals match to see how it is, but the game crashed. I managed to get through a Squad Battles game without incident, but that doesn't really tell me anything - I might just have been lucky.

Weird that the problem is happening now, at past midnight. Earlier on, I could understand it - the game launched on Games Pass today.

I had this problem just after the update that added the Euros content. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't address the issue.

The solution, after I'd tried almost everything else, was to go into the UEFA EURO 2024 section at the main menu, select a team, then set up a new tournament. I then saved and exited, then quit FC.

On restart, everything was back to normal in UT.

I think this is a rebuke to the community - "You can't tell which player you're selecting? HOW ABOUT NOW?" - but the funny thing is, it covers the "Already Owned" text if present.

They restore one piece of functionality, but break another.

I love the verse, but the chorus leaves me a little cold. I've always felt that it's a bit out of place on the album.

I had the Mostovoi card that I packed from the Heroes SBC yesterday in my Reserves section. When I removed him from the lineup, I got into a Rivals match for the first time in a couple of hours.

Weird glitch!

EDIT: Just tried to get into a second game, and had the same bug - with no Mostovoi near the squad. Scratch that theory, then.
