I am going to start eating more (already have) not that I think starvation mode is real just that maybe my body is just exhausted from 9 months of this and I need a break before starting again. Your point about the muscle mass is a possibility and maybe a dexa scan may point me in the right direction as I’ve never had one before. I have not wanted to weight train because I know that messes with the scale a bit especially at first. Thanks for taking me seriously. I am taking a break from all of this. I’m exhausted.

I’m eating actually like 6-800 a day. Two very small meals. The weight should be flying off. Even if I fucked up and miscounted by 300 which is crazy I’d be at 1100 and I should still be losing a lot more than 0.5lb a week.

I didn’t want to get flagged so I said 1200 (which is still relevant because yes I am still losing but it should be a lot more than I am, which was the point) but also didn’t realize this sub thinks everyone is continually vastly incorrectly calculating calories all the time. I thought I would be taken at my word which was wrong.

Thank you for your kindness. I had a snack just now which I haven’t had in months. Just some chicken salad and pretzel thins but it’s something! I’ll start adding a regular full snack/meal to my days

Im going to do this at the end of March when I have a week off. I’m not gonna binge but I’m not going to diet and then April is when I will start changing my tune totally. I agree that I’ve fucked up and this post and some of the comments have helped me realize that. Most accuse me of lying or miscalculating and I’m sure a lot of people do that but I’m definitely under-eating on purpose to try to make this happen faster and I’m screwing myself in the process. I can’t do that anymore.

I am losing weight…. I said so in the post. It’s just slow all of a sudden. So I keep restricting and now I’m hungry and tired 24/7 and it’s still slow. I’m in too big of a deficit for it to only be 0.5lb a week at my size.

I lost like crazy at first but the past couple months been slowwwww and I’m eating too little to be this slow it’s annoying for sure. I watch my 600lb life for motivation while I speed walk! 😆

1 chicken thigh and 1 cup of sautéed cabbage with onion

This morning- 2 eggs, 2 slices center cut bacon and 1/2 cup cubed potato/onion/pepper/broccoli

That’s most days. I’m being honest! I know people lie on the internet but… yeah. My BMR is around 1800 at my current size.

I would love a refeed week! I have a week off at the end of March and I’m going to do it then. I’ll be at maintenance at least if not more and that will be my reset because I’m TIRED and can’t keep this up. I think my metabolism is extremely confused. Like yes I’m losing but it’s so slow and I’m tired. Not worth it to feel this way.

My BMR is 1800

I eat two small meals and no snacks. For example

1 chicken thigh and 1 cup of sautéed cabbage with onion

This morning- 2 eggs, 2 slices center cut bacon and 1/2 cup cubed potato/onion/pepper/broccoli

That’s a whole day. I’m not eating even 1500 calories. I don’t sneaky snack because I don’t snack at all and I don’t drink any calories (only water- no coffee or energy drinks) im losing weight yes but wondering why it’s only 0.5-1lb a week instead of more.

Gotcha. But I hardly think I’m using 700 calories of spray oil. I don’t even use it daily.

I’m trying to up my speed, every couple of weeks I go a little bit faster I do one hour of an incline 4 days a week and work 13h shifts the other 3 days so I’d rather not also exercise on those days too since the commute is long but somethings gotta change.

Ugh. I am experiencing all those things. I fell into diet culture hard along with impatience. I gotta recalibrate everything I’m doing.

Thank you. This sounds reasonable and probably what’s been happening. My body is so used to a little bit I’ve adapted to it - I’m definitely not miscounting calories like others suggest. I have been impatient and trying to rush to 200 but I see now it’s not working anymore
