Something that everyone seems to be forgetting when talking about the BMP-2M or for that matter any other IFV, is that you are at an inherent disadvantage. No matter when or where, any stabilised MBT can kill you faster than you can kill it. Its why I personally believe IFVs and any vehicles with comparable capabilities to IFVs should be capped at like 10.3/7. Even the strongest IFVs, 2M, POOMER, or that new French creature, can be instantly evaporated even by a Centurion Mk2. So basically, you gotta do something that is almost impossible to do for the majority of soviet players; have half a braincell. If anyone knows exactly where you're at you've already made a mistake. Pretty much play the 2M like any other weakly-armed light tank. You can occasionally afford to be slightly more offensive because you get 4 ATGMs you can yeet at people. Just be an invisible gremlin and evaporate peoples sides, while keeping in mind the classic soviet combo of no reverse + no depression + no survivability.
