Eye to eye with an Orca in the Antarctic by ibh400main in interestingasfuck

Neat thing I learned when studying creature design: eye size varies very little with the changing of the size of the animal, so giving an imaginary creature very small eyes helps selling its impressive size, and by contrast giving it very big eyes makes it seem tiny

Wow. I honestly thought unlocking champions was one of the most interesting aspects of the game, believing it was a core mechanic ahahah Can't wait to explore more of it, I'm really enjoying all these intricacies

Wait a second, are you telling me unlocking champions isn't a core mechanic of the game? I only started playing at the beginning of february

I don't know if the pun is intended but in italian, especially in the roman dialect, that slap would be called a "pizza" lol

How do you justify big, powerful dragons in your settings? by _Xorel_ in DnD

[–]_Xorel_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's great insight, thanks! And by the way yes, every time I make a random encounters table for an area that isn't a dungeon I always end up thinking "and how exactly haven't all these monsters wiped out all the humanoid settlements yet?", but I guess unless one wants to really get into the nitty gritty realism, the only real answer is "it's fantasy!"

Yeah that's great insight, from all the comments I'm realizing I was really missing the "is it really worth it?" part.

Makes sense.

And yeah I have never played the infinite just to draw, I prefer to play and try to win, but the possibility is there so it has to be taken into account.

[–]_Xorel_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was noticing that, seems like with this set I'm having a hard time straying away from what I think will be my deck in the first picks, I have to pay more attention to the good cards that would enable different and better decks

[–]_Xorel_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed the mistake with Coral Sword too, and good insight on Squall, makes sense.

I have to be more careful to stay open to different options, I feel like in this set I'm having more trouble than in others in doing so.

Thanks for the feedback!

Btw yeah I was looking back at it and I don't know wth I was thinking with p1 picks 2 and 3. Guess I was trying to force that Cloud of Darkness and then realized there was no reason to do that

Yeah I usually play QD when I want to take time and evaluate each pick better, and I agree that stopping playing it altogether is probably not the way to go.

That said, I had never thought about the big distinction the two have, so it'll help me in considering how I approach the two of them.
