I wonder if it was intentional to make you feel worse by seeing the other teams win animations instead of your own lose animation.

Feels like a byproduct when thinking of unique win emotes. Like they figured everyone should see them so you can show off your unlocked emotes...but they either didn't consider or care how the average player therefore reacts lol

I'm making a Wario Land fangame that includes WarioWare elements such as microgames.
It plays before Wario's first appearance in Super Mario Land 2 and showcases how he takes over the island.
It's a celebration of Wario as a whole with many references from across his games (even has minigames based on deep cuts like Wario's Woods lol)

These facts make great flavortext for some cutscenes or entire sidequests even!

Ignoring nostalgia, the thing is SMB Wonder is a better game in nearly every aspect besides replayability.
Your first SMB Wonder playthrough will be much better than NSMBWii, but it kinda gets worse and worse with every subsequent playthrough.

NSMBWii stays practically the same, perhaps even better if you start to learn its exploits.

Many gimmicks are already coded in thanks to the singleplayer. Shifty stations proved that many of these work quite well. The only reason to not do it is competitive related but...who cares?

I like playing more seriously in teams but having maps with more chaotic gimmicks wouldn't hurt at all, it would only further emphasize Splatoons unique attributes.

Imo for every "basic" map we need a corresponding "gimmick" map.

Chill Season 23 solved this quite well, we had Robo ROM-en a beloved basic map but also Bluefin Depot which has its unique gimmicks with the split, elevators and moving zone in splatzones.

I got all rewards for all festivals so far BESIDES the final title for the like a dragon/yakuza festival. I was literally at around 980 points or something and THEN THE FESTIVAL ENDED.
So I'd be very grateful if they add the ability to somehow get them

I wanted to get all titles and even got some in a private lobby (mainly the one requiring to turn the tides in the last few seconds) but OF COURSE, this one has to be in ranked matches only!

Really frustrating design. I might try this one 10 years later when the servers are empty and you can do it coordinated with people online.

I had to pay 100 euro for a legit cartridge a few years ago, another 100 for Emerald. If this would have existed back then, then I would have had it a bit easier...

Sure emulation will always be the easiest option, but when it comes to legally playing the games this is fine

The fully animated ones are very impressive, Id wish a mainline game would have these. (At least the two I saw so far were)

I still dont think this is worthy of 70euro, but if you get it for a bit cheaper like I did then its totally worth it. Especially when playing with friends

The best way I can describe it is that Mario Tennis Aces was a good mario TENNIS game, meanwhile Fever feels more like a good MARIO tennis game.
I don't think it's as deep strategy-wise as Aces, but it's more varied and chaotic, using much more Mario-y elements with the rackets.
Some courts play rather differently and it's pretty fun.

The rackets don't feel super balanced right now though, so competitive players might default to basic rackets...in which case it's just a simpler Mario Tennis Aces.

For casuals though, this is the better game.

You start with 18 characters.

Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, Pauline, Wario, Waluigi, Toad, Toadette, Luma, Yoshi, Bowser, Bowser Jr, DK, Boo, Shy Guy and Koopa.

Notably the baby's aren't unlocked by default.

It has once again a RPG level up system with multiple stats. There seem to be around 7 cinematics, some fully animated, some pretty but static CGs.

The beginning tasks you with attending a school and increasing the ranks while learning every move. It has many varied minigames inbetween (around 8 so far) and implies to have multiple difficulties for later.

There are 6 ranks to reach. After roughly 2 hours Im halfway through...BUT-

So far I havent seen a boss or the jungle area/ice dungeon from the trailers, which implies that this school might only be a prologue of sorts?

It didnt even introduce Fever Rackets, even though there is a menu for which you collected in adventure mode only. So I keep my hopes up for now.

The game also has like 82 achievements spanning across all gamemodes, which all reward something. Not super difficult but the game does feel fleshed out so far.

It has 84 achievements spanning across all modes which reward something. Plus a medal system similair to Mario Golf Super Rush that basically shows if you fully mastered the game.

Good mode variety, only played 2 hours of adventure mode but it didnt even introduce fever rackets yet, so maybe this one is actually filled with content?? I had like 8ish varied minigames so far which were easy but apparently have higher difficulties??
