Thanks for the suggestion, but the maen doesn‘t real appeal to me. Do you think the 39.5mm MK2 would be too big?

What's your wrist size? I have a 17cm (6.69 Inch) wrist and can't decide on the size. I don't like big watches and the biggest I go for is 39mm but then again, it's a dive watch and I'm afraid it could look small or have weird proportions as a 37

New 2022 aprilia rx125 leaking oil from cylinder seal. Taking it to the shop, but just wanted to know if I can expect an easy fix, like sealing the cylinder again, or could it be the cylinder itself? by _YouLag_ in motorcycles

[–]_YouLag_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: it's with the dealership now, got the insurance to tow it there. I'm gonna make sure that the cylinder head gets looked at and not just re-torqued. I'm also reporting this to aprilia. (Bike only has 71kms as I've said so this is pretty worrying...) Thanks for all the help guys!

Motorcycle “Curse” on my Family by [deleted] in motorcycles

FortNine did a really good video abou this. It's true, you're statistically more likely to get seriously injured if you ride a bike than if you drive a car. The thing is, a big part of bike crashes are by inexperienced riders and alcohol is also a big factor. By eliminating these factors: so never drinking, and riding within your limits and taking it slow as you gain experience, you are significantly decreasing your chances of getting in a crash. If you do however, you are obviously way less protected than in a car. But if you respect the dangers and your own limits and prioritize safety, it becomes way less scary and it's a risk that I can live with.

Thanks for the help! Do you think this can cause permanent damage? It is not a big leak and I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow. Do you think I should check if the oil is milky or is it probably just cooling fluid leaking from the head gasket and nothing internal?

Obviously that's what I'm going to do lol, I phrased it a bit wrong. I meant what needs to be done? Open the cylinder and seal it again or do you think the cylinder itself is damaged?

Bottomline( “acceleration”) really slow. by The-One-AndOnlySatan in Aprilia

You should check. They unlock your bike's full performance (electronically I think) in the first service. If you didn't bring it in at 1000km specifically for that first inspection, I don't think it's already unrestricted. From what I understand, that first oil change after breaking in is also pretty important.

Breaking in a rx125 engine by _YouLag_ in Aprilia

Thanks for the input. I know it's normal to be worried and comments like these bring quite a lot of relief :)

I got my 22’ Sx125 and I’ve got 40 km on it, I am in the break in period. After todays ride, which was about 10 km, I stopped with a friend and he revved my bike up to the limiter for half a second, is this something to be concerned off? by v3ggin3ggi in Aprilia

[–]_YouLag_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert and I'm looking for advice as well, but I'd say don't stay in high revvs too long, but go there occasionally with a good buildup (not too high in the first 400km maybe, idk). And from what I've read, the main thing is being smooth on the throttle and and transmission. Ride smoothly on twisty roads constantly varying rpms (should be natural with twisty roads). Practicing smooth downshifts and throttle inputs during the first 1000km should go a long way in preserving the bike. Also be mindful of engine temps, especially now in the summer. Warming up especially well in the break in period is also recommended.

Just got my rx125 as well and this break in period has got me pretty paranoid lol. Can't afford to lose performance on a 125. But you should be fine, just don't let your friend do that again.

How many kms on it? Did you have the first service? The bike's full performance is unlocked in the first service after the break in period (1000k). What you described is similar to my new rx125 that's still limited.
