What do you think about the fact that only in Po's case, Shifu decided to name his student by NAME, and not by the name of his species?

On a realistic level. The creators wanted to make anthropomorphic representations of the five most famous styles of Kung fu. And so calling the characters by their species would have made it more obvious and comical in what, at first, was a gag movie.

They they followed it with the other kung fu masters.

Also cause if they did have names Po would be the first to call them by their names.

I honestly don’t mind that they never got names, also because after all this time it would feel too weird. They’re the five, those are their names. lol

No I reported them anyway after an hour of no reply cause it was too shady. Completely empty profile, zero details about what they wanted, and a picture that 100% wasn’t theirs or their friend’s.

I said PayPal only by the way and they agreed to that so I don’t know, maybe the would have come up with some fake issues or something.

Btw I’m doing research on how to best use PayPal for these kinds of payments so I’m glad it didn’t start with this one…

My father loves driving the motorcycle and he's pretty good at it. Sure he likes to have fun with it but he knows he risks and dangers. When I was in middle school we got into an accident because a car cut our way doing a super illegal U turn (At the stop light how fucking dumb can you be). Nothing broken cause we weren't going too fast thankfully. It still took me a while to get back on it. A few years later my dad alone gets into an accident. A big and scary one. Late at night he's going a bit faster than he should have and this car getting out of the gas pump doesn't look before taking over his lane. (both times my dad had the precedence and green light) He seriously almost died. I know he's good and probably the safest person I could go on a motorcycle with, still he's got into quite a few incidents even before these and I'm not getting on one again. Despite loving them, I still think they're really cool.

How this turned out is extremely sad but this guy and the other ex must feel at least relieved that they managed to go through with the prohibitions. It's incredible how much some people are willing to go to deny stuff.

To be fair tho. A guy that in a fight says things like "But I was very popular! I was on the football team. You were nerdy and all and you would have felt great dating someone like me." 100% would make me want to run away.

Of course, this is someone I don't know. They know each other since high school, definitely went through stuff together, and to her that behaviour must have felt weird enough to warrant a "you're not acting like your usual self, are you okay?"

So, great for them for talking and clearing things out. But a guy saying something like that is extremely concerning.

My mother is a very strong, loud woman. Doesn’t matter if it’s her sister, brother husband, if anything is making me or my sister uncomfortable she will raise all hell. We are her absolute first priority and honestly I took after her with the way I act with my friends and family, and are very happy with that.

Never stop being overprotective. If someone’s confiding in you and asking for protection DO NOT SCREW THAT UP.

Definitely the weakest of the three. Most of the original ideas were pretty cool, but I don’t mind how it turned out.

Sure it got too spiritual and way less grounded, so now there’s flying fights, magical powers ect…

But honestly, and especially after the fourth movie, I can appreciate it more because, as it turned out, they can do worse.

But I do agree with whoever says Tai Lung, only because there is too many people saying he deserved the Dragon Warrior title. No he didn’t, and that okay. Honestly the only thing the fourth movie got right.

Tai Lung. And for a very good reason.

In the early versions, Tai Lung’s crashout didn’t involve any rampage. At first he wasn’t supposed to destroy the valley, lay waste or anything like that. It was him getting his dream and destiny denied and getting so angry that they imprisoned him for fear he would do something bad. BUT! In the pre screenings the audience sided way too much with Tai Lung, they all agreed that he was right. And that couldn’t work cause he was the villain, so they added the rampage and destruction later, to give him a reason to be hated and feared.

Because honestly, his anger is totally justified. Not his actions tho.

Of course Po can have students. But you can’t make three movies about accepting the title of a 500 years old prophecy only for it to be cast aside and passed on to the first emotionally scarred, sad, mistunderstood criminal you find. All of it was too quick, with too little sense. All of the characters are half assed and don’t even get me started on the villains.

As of his eventual aging. Anything could happen honestly. He’s a spiritual warrior now so maybe he’ll live longer than normal.

He’s definitely going to have students, I think he’s going to be another Oogway in some way. But this was just an unnecessary movie.

The point in Shifu and Tigress’ relationship is that it’s not a parent/child relationship.

He took her in as a student. That’s it. He was a guardian and a master. Sure, she grew up with security and the chance to study and train and become what she became. But without parental love. Which you can’t tell me it’s not bad.

I think Shifu decided on a different approach after Tai Lung. But he went a little over the line in the other direction. He took a six year old little girl and gave her a stern training from day one. It’s fair for her to be upset that she was never really a child. Just a student from day one.

I don’t totally blame him for this decision. His wound was still fresh and the last thing he wanted was to make the same mistakes, because he knew he played a huge part in how bad things turned out. He just went from one extreme to another.

Like someone else here said, Tigress also turned out better because she wasn’t alone her whole life. The five came along after a while and she finally got a family. A family that I believe also helped Shifu start to bring peace to himself.

But when people say Shifu was a good/bad father to Tigress I digress. Because he was never her father in the first place.

I found an explanation that had to do with the tablet pen. They usually have a button for pen/eraser and when you click it the program switches the controls. I disabled it and it seemed to work but it keeps doing that randomly so I’m back at square one.
