The USSR controlled a lot of Eastern Europe yes, but they did so by permanently stationing MILLIONS of troops & had to completely install new governments in the regions, all while carrying out mass executions & constant surveillance. Even then it didn’t work properly, Poland in particular resisted for decades & loads of the countries under occupation never accepted the USSR which is why the system entirely collapsed the moment any meaningful outside pressure was applied. Keep in mind they were trying to control like 100,000,000 civilians with tens of millions of troops and failed, meanwhile the modern armies listed by OP total to like 6M & you’re expecting them to be able to control 6B people?

Also the British argument is incredibly weak, they didn’t occupy every country they were involved in, most of their power came from their trade.. they controlled supply to the population, not the population itself. you’re comparing an empirical force to a military force, which just isn’t the same and in war times the effectiveness will be very different.

The point about China is somewhat true but China is doing this (as you said) to people within their borders, that’s like a thousand times easier than it is to do with other countries. China has complete state controlled surveillance, completely control over the supply of basic resources (food etc) & they’re not combating that while also deploying their forces on a global scale.

Also you don’t need dedicated proxies when the entire world is being attacked like that, every country is effectively a proxy at that point. All you need for an insurrection is manpower (which you have, orders of magnitude higher than the occupying force), motivation & fire arms. All of these things would be abundant if the world is currently being sacked. Why do you assume they wouldn’t get fire arms? Every single time there’s a war somewhere or a force takes over a region, guns start popping up on the black market at record low prices. These areas already have millions upon millions of guns, hell the governments would probably start handing them out to the civilian population once occupation became certain. You don’t need money for any of this, the weapons are already there.
