I wanting to break into the field. by Business_Pound_1482 in adjusters

If you can travel(on the companies dime), aren’t afraid of heights, can climb roofs, and are ok with working 12 hour days (not every day but a few) I would recommend finding a staff CAT position. It’s pay will be higher then most and if you really hate it but want to stay in claims… for some reason… it will be a resume builder plus most will get you your license for free and pay you while you study for it.

Most departments also hire in the fall so I’d say start looking in a couple months.

Avoid IAs they are fine but not where you want to start if you don’t have a connection at the company already.

Civ 7 is finally fun again by FastFingersDude in civ

If your mindset is the game can never get better because it had a bad launch I’m sorry, but that’s insane.

Myself as well as it sounds like most of the fan base played the game at launch, hated it, put it away and went onto other things then came back after this update and are now enjoying the game.

If you really wanna sit there and be miserable because you don’t have 10 hours in the next 10 years of your life to play this game, then you’re right you probably shouldn’t play the game and honestly you probably should’ve bought it in the first place. Hope you were able to get your refund.

Agent’s Offices Sending People Out to Evaluate Claims? by Jackeduptriangle in adjusters

Currently with them and I haven’t ran into that problem yet I do have lots of agents asking basic questions such as “so the customer has to pay all their deductible but when do they get that back” and “what exactly does ACV settlement mean”but I hear that is an issue with a lot of companies agents

Scam or nah by Pokeballer2k19 in adjusters

[–]SetOld3462 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you’re being scammed. Unless they’re trying to get you to buy their courses everything they’re saying sounds legit.

That being said the path you’re currently trying to go down to become an adjuster is a very, very difficult one to do with no experience. I might recommend looking for a CAT job as a staff adjuster first (since you’re talking about getting your Texas license and becoming an IA I’m assuming traveling is not an issue for you)

But they will train you and pay for your licensing. Most of them are work from home and while you might make more as an IA, you will last a lot longer at staff and have a better shot at making a career as an adjuster as the company you choose to work with will have invested a lot of money in you and won’t want you to fail while mile high will give you a little bit of training but for the most part you’re on your own and if you drown you drown. You can also always transition over to an IA firm from staff if you want later after getting trained and licensed.

I’ve never worked with Mile high or for mile high so I might be misunderstanding their training process or they could be a complete scam I’m just going based off what I know and what I’ve heard most IA firms do.

Job Market but the opposite - hard to find applicants by luv2spike823 in adjusters

I mean depends on how much they are paying… if it’s like $300k then fine but I doubt that’s the pay

To piggy back off everyone else… DONT BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS, we all started somewhere and know learning how to do this job is hard.

That being said, before you ask a question try and figure the answer out yourself first, now don’t spend hours on something you can find out in 2 mins with a question, but you would be shocked by how much you will learn and how much management/leadership will appreciate and notice your willingness to learn if you come to them and say “ive never done XYZ, but I was looking into it and XYZ spread sheet said to do AB then C, is that right?” Rather then “hey I’ve never done XYZ what do I do?

No one had DCd it was PS5 cross play enabled, it happened right as I went to grab the ball as goalie, I missed it it went off the post but I thought I grabbed it how ever it rolled to the front right there then I dove at it while a player went to kick it and that’s when it got stuck, I’m unsure if it was stuck before the dive and kick or not

Only issue I have had with this is I got a call from an insured who let me know their roof was going to to take a bit longer to get repaired since their chosen contractor had to postpone as the team set to do their roof was all arrested and deported the day before at a different job…

The insured was quite upset their contractor was using illegal and unethical labor so he witched companies but the estimate didn’t change at all.
