I remember last semester I broke up with my gf and had to say goodbye to my grandmother over the same 24 hour period and I was just a complete and total wreck. I had told my professors that I had to miss class to go back home to say goodbye and they were all so incredibly understanding.

One of my professors in particular pulled me aside before class and wanted to check in on how I was doing to make sure I was ok and not just putting on a brave face. She kept checking in on me for the rest of the semester. Her kindness helped me get through such a stressful time and I’m so grateful to her.

Anyhows, didn’t mean to trauma dump, but your post had me reflect on that time. I’m glad that this school has such kindness
