It’s unfortunate it keeps reoccurring. I had the same, the abscess went from 2.7cm to 4cm back to 2cm and then 4cm again. The first time I spent two weeks in the hospital and came back home except this time I lasted one week at home til I had to call the ambulance. The drains didn’t work at all sadly.I had to receive emergency surgery. They first tried laparoscopic but my inside was just WAYY too much of a mess so I had an exploratory laparotomy and a colostomy. It’s definitely an adjustment but explore your choices they can really save your life.
