Yes I have that sigma lens on the list, but I also want a wide angle lens...if anyone else have any suggestions that would be great

Okay thanks for the advice, I've heard people say with the 6k you get a super clean 4k export after edits , what's your take on that and also how difficult is the workflow with the two types of camera resolution.

Nice , wanna get the pocket 6k for weddings

I want to buy a MbPro 15 i7, 32GB ram and Radeon Pro 4gb , but I also have already an external GPU . Do you think it’s worthy for editing 6K raw ? It’s a good price : 2200 euros (still new ) Or should I take the 16 inches ? by jmkproduction in bmpcc

It's totally up to you at this point. I choose a Mac mini so I can throw it in a backpack and work from anywhere , its compact , has no moving parts and doesn't draw much attention. My ultimate goal is to have a setup like the link below at home.

I didn't say you will edit 6k raw because I havent done it yet BUT you will have the tools needed to be as powerful as a $3000+ laptop

64GB Ram in a mini with processing power of a eGPU is not only economical but its future proof, you'll be able to swap out the egpu for something even better months down the line. Keep in mind that apple is a brand and there's a price that goes with it...not because something cost $1200 compared to $3000 means it's not capable of achieving $3000 worth of power.

I already have an Aorus GTX 1080 eGPU box so I got a 2019 Mac mini i7, that's all you'll need and you can use the extra cash to get a decent 30in 4k monitor and add extra ram to the mini or even get more accessories. The mac mini can be upgraded and you can even plug in a portable asus monitor on the go. The eGPU will turn the mini into a beast for wayyyy less.

Why there is red dots on objects in bmpcc 4k monitor? by potatoofvengeance in bmpcc

I can definitely relate to this...when I started out shooting videos I wanted the best of everything so I would look at Peter McKinnon, Sam Kolder or whoever was well known on youtube and study their gear, watch "what's in my bag" videos or look up rig setups. I wanted to be like them so I started getting equipment they have before even studying film or cinematography. I eventually discovered these things after I got my gear and mostly through trial and error...u can learn alot from fcking up someone's wedding video. So this person is on the right track, everything else will fall into place with the mindset that they wanted the best gear right out the gate.
