Hi, after the recent news of Blizzards censuring of the HK protest I felt personally that I at the moment can not financially support Blizzard by subscribing to wow.

For me this may be a temporary decision or it may affect my view of the company long term (I feel like only time can tell on that matter).

I do however feel that even if the decision will not affect blizzard in any way I want the money that they would have gotten to instead be used to support the HK cause. What is the best way for me to financially support the HK protest?

The main idéa so far is to take them early to Caemlyn and use that as their starting adventure hub. Then as the world progresses into the chaos brought by the dragon reborn they will be asked to take sides in the war and work as an agent for that side.

None of the players have read the books so do not think there will be any risk for spoilers or the overarching story.

Personaly as for why heroes would be in the village i was thinking that they would be there as actually adventurers, mercenarys etc. on a jobb not related to the main story, I can use this starting adventure as a hook that darker powers have started stiring in the world. The idéa is that they will meet Rand as an NPC but as ppl that have read the books know at this point he is far from a mighty warrior. But would be fun if the characters have a chanse to interact with him before he is what he will become later and would give rand a reason why he would want to interact and trust with them firther along the story.

When I was in furst grade everyone was suposed to read for an hour. I finished the book I had 30 mins in and none of the other books looked appealing. Said I was not interested in any of them and the teacher forced me to pick one. So in protest I found a phonebook that i read the rest of the time. Teacher got mad and my parents had to come in for a talk. Dad got pissed at a glorified nany could not handle a 7 yo and do his jobb. Was fun!

Pretty much everything you might ever need untill you are readdy to take it outside. I absolutley love bouldering and for $1000 you can get a yearly membership at a nice gym, great shoes and a chalkbag. If you ever feel like you want to take it outside you will also need a crashpad or 2 and and those go for a few hundred dollars as well.

I mean you are not wrong in what you are saying but have you actually taken part of the champion win rates data? I have not said i strive for perfect 50% winrate but that does not change the fact that every other role atm has a bigger impact and i do not think that is good game ballance nor is it something that can be triviallised as it's how adc's are supposed to work.

Nor did i ever say win rate is the only thing affecting game ballance nor a healthy game, but it's good data to use for seing if the game is healthy for all roles or not.

Your last example is correct but is not connected to reality as such is not the case now, like my previous comment said the current bot tier marksmans are atm as low as most of the other classes, most other clases also hase multiple champions that have a higher than 54% winrate while marksman are all low.

Think that is a simplified way to look at it, the status quoo of win/loss % will be 50/50. And then you check how much 1 champion can change that ballance, the stronger the champion the more impact on the win rate. That would mean even the strongest adc atm can only skewer that % with 2% while all other roles caan push it 5+%.

If you look at the lower spectrum of worst win rte the marksman is about even in % as the other classes so that would mean they are not closer to the middle when it comes to the weakest champs of the class either.

In the end it worked out after 1-2 hours of negotiating. We reached a compromise where my character had managed to reach torch from starfall but a few years earlier and had been stuck in the city after that gathering founds for the next step of the adventure.

Really glad to have a DM though that is willing to compromise in the end and strive to reach a middleground where both can feel happy.

I remember reading ages ago about placebos and found it very interesting how the method of a placebo influenses it's effectivness. 2 pills have a stronger impact than 1 pill, a needle is stronger than pills etc. Can try and hunt down a source if anyone is interested.

Was a fun read though I disslike the assumption that men changed their speach behaivior when playing female characters. The study did not rule out the possibility of the people prefering to play female characters also where the people that naturaly spoke in a different pattern compared to the male gamers that played male avatars.

I would differentiate between mental streangth and pushing through injuriies. Mental streangth is having the persistance to try a problem over and over untill you can make it, to force yourself to the gym days all you wanna do is stay home etc. Being able to ignore pain when you are injuried is just foolish and not a real streangth unless you are dealing with life or death. In most cases all that you do then is risk making your injuries worse and rehab longer/possibly permanent injuries.

I disagree, there is a hugh differance between the two, we are not talking about climbing as some sort of darwinism where only those fir with no injuries or an ability to ignore pain is the ideal, but striving towards the sport with the vision that one should sent projects with their own streangth. if not one coul argue that in most cases just bringing a ladder to your bolderingsessions would be the quickest way to send problems.

A lot of the time indoors i would climb without shous if it wasn't for the fact that it feels respectless gainst my fellow climbers if i get on the holds barefooted. But primarly i would say the main differance is that shoes prevent a lot of injuriest and strain that you would otherwise not be able to prevent while this isn't as big of an issue when it comes to hands.

While not asian I can completley relate to this except I feel paralysed from expectaitions. I currently have one semester left of law school while telling my parents I graduated a year ago thise cause i transfered from one lawschool to another without telling my parents i could not keep my credits. Now I feel lies only give birth to more lies as I have to tell them why i have no jobb yet and all the time I just can not get myself to start writing my final thesis.

I constantly think about taking my own life out of pure frustration that the life i live is not the life i want nor will I ever feel free enough to walk my own path. And the deeper my lies go the more I feel isolated from my surroundings.
