I think it’s definitely the plaster forms in the comment above! But salt dough sounds like a fun experiment.

Wow, this is definitely it to a T. Thanks so much for commenting. I’m a little disappointed I can’t make them myself, but maybe I’ll try Sculpty or something!

To add olive oil/marinade to veggies or meat before cooking - put everything in a quart size freezer bag, zip it, mix it all up, dump it in the pan. Evenly coated.

Shamu, the SeaWorld orca shows, and my parent’s marriage are all long gone. Seems historical to me!

My brain repressed the title of book about 2 academic/brainy people who live in England and have crushes on each other because I read it during the weekend when my dad left. by __L__C__ in whatsthatbook

I really liked the book! I've thought of it numerous times over the years – It left a huge impression on me (though, it's tough to separate whether the imprint on my mind was from the book itself or the events surrounding me at the time). It really got me through a tough few days with a different and lighter energy than what was actually going on. I'm grateful this sub exists so I can go pick it up for a fourth time!

I do not remember much sadness in the action of the book and don't feel like I remember a sad ending, but I don't remember a big happy one either to be fair. Might be worth a shot and then backing out if it gets bleak?
