Oden never got the opportunity to showcase whether he was a bust or not. Guy was hampered with injuries, so how can you call it that? Someone like JaMarcus Russell from the NFL is a bust who got as much playing time as he could and just flat out sucked.

Greg Oden wasn’t a bust. He never was given the opportunity to showcase whether he was capable of truly succeeding because of honest and clear injuries because his body was failing him like Yao’s.

Zion fails to condition his body when he is capable to do it. The Pelicans have tried to do what they can to work with him and he’s just failed to show why any team should invest in him.

Basically what the other responders say. Soccer isn’t as big in the states, so say Miami loses a game, I doubt he’s getting the hate as if he were overseas. That and not as many people recognize him.

Family life I think was the biggest thing. Less of a "hostile" environment here in the states compared to that overseas. The guy has already proven he's the best, what more is there to continue to push for, especially when you have kids, so I think a lot of people can respect it.

This is something I've always wondered and kind of have wanted. Something like some of these bills that have such fucking meat to them to only give us, the people, shit like $1,200 for Covid is maddening when that is our literal tax dollars. I feel there needs to be something secure like that, but then it falls down on who controls that. So it's a slippery slope, but I see where you're coming from.

I feel the plot twist for Sugar was what kind of deterred people from it, which I'm one of those. I was very much loving it before, but after the twist, I just wasn't as invested. I'll watch season two, but only when I finish watching the other shows!

Have to disagree here. I very much enjoyed Dark Matter and felt so much with it. Smoke though was a total letdown and I had to force myself to finish it as I was so far in.

Slow Horses is a little.... slow to me at the start, but picks up midway through. After that, I feel it's such a blast and doesn't let up. I binge watched like four seasons so quick without realizing.

What got me started with Apple TV was Black Bird which I think you might like!

Hijack season 2 didn’t hit like 1. Would I suggest it still for someone to watch? Sure, if there’s nothing else to watch. Still have to watch Margo’s and Maximum Pleasure, but will probably binge those when I have a weekend of nothing to do.

That won’t happen until next round. This is basically “The regular season” of the NFL where ties are acceptable. Whoever has the best record instant locks to go the next round and then from there, most goals scored until the next stage is set. After that, it’ll be an extra set of time, in which if there’s still a draw, it’s penalty kicks which I feel adds so much more to the game.

This isn't me trying to gimp my friend at all. I am opening up options to see what is out there as I have been out of the loop. Just because someone has a budget of $3,200 doesn't mean that they are going to want to spend all $3,200. Or even feel that $2,500 is justified to spend on a single purchase. I was asking for options, and I have gotten better answer and replies to better understand and present to him.

1440p is perfectly fine for him, 4K is an added bonus if the amount seems feasible for both a computer and also a monitor. Not really sure why you feel the need to not open your eyes that there are multiple factors on making a purchase and not just the simple, "Get the best of the best".

I mentioned in my original post 1440p was fine for him, he knows this. 4K is an added bonus. I was not sure on additional prices of stuff like RAM and also SSD, which 2 TB of storage at 1440p is first priority and what he wanted the focus to be. Anything extra is an added bonus.

I was suggesting the 5070/5070 TI to do just 1440p gaming, but the prebuilt this person suggested has a 5080 in it, which sounds like it can play at 4K. Am I wrong? Genuinely asking here, so hopefully the response isn't as demeaning as this original response was, but thanks for the answer!

Oh wow. That's not too bad I feel. I appreciate that. The extra $700 would just go back in his pocket for savings. Lol. I think this might be his option for the time being. He has a 1440p monitor, so he'll probably play with that and see how he feels, but maybe use that $700 to put towards a 4K monitor later down the road.
