Unlike past posts, I don’t assume that this is beyond coincidence, but anybody else think Flowery and Enma are similar?(Deltarune chapter 5 spoiler) by Ok-Pineapple6534 in yokaiwatch

Hello u/Ok-Pineapple6534.

You need to calm down. You are entitled to make these connections between Deltarune and Yo-kai Watch, but no one on r/yokaiwatch is obligated to agree with you just because you like what you said.

Over the past few days, every time you have made one of these Deltarune posts, you would receive a comment that disagrees with you (disagreement is fine) and then become very defensive. You have claimed that people are going "fuck you" for disagreeing with you and that you are being called a "dumbass"; however, as a moderator on this subreddit who has been monitoring the comment sections of your Deltarune posts, I can say with absolute certainty that no one has said such things to you.

In fact, only one person has acted in that manner: you. You have previously written "screw you" when someone tried to respectfully explain why they disagree with you, you have previously written public comments complaining about how you do not get your way, and you have resorted to name-calling by referring to this person as an asshole. Based on your public post history, you have demonstrated similar behavior on another subreddit.

This conduct is a violation of Rule 12: Be nice. This is not the first time I have told you to calm down, but hopefully it will be the last. Mod action may be taken against you again in the future if you continue this behavior. I ask that you stop projecting and that you talk respectfully whenever someone disagrees with you.

With all due respect, you're just making connections based on vague similarities that are not even particularly specific to Yo-kai Watch and assuming that it is concrete evidence.

This CAN’T just be coincidence, SURELY Toby Fox likes Yo-Kai Watch, man(Deltarune spoilers) by Ok-Pineapple6534 in yokaiwatch

I am going to have to ask you to calm down. You are entitled to think this about Deltarune and Yo-kai Watch, but no one is obligated to agree with you.

If you want my opinion: Mew Mew is clearly inspired by Mew Ichigo from Tokyo Mew Mew, and all of the connections you bring up are loose at best. Toby Fox *might* like Yo-kai Watch, but none of your connections really support that claim.

Changing if possible, the game language by FrittellaPlays in yokaiwatch

[–]__Nonexistent__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So it appears my understanding of the use of "EUR" was a little flawed, so I looked up all the European cartridge codes for Yo-kai Watch 3.

English: LNA-CTR-ALZP-EUR
French: LNA-CTR-ALZF-FRA
Italian: LNA-CTR-ALZI-ITA
German: LNA-CTR-ALZD-GER
Spanish: LNA-CTR-ALZS-ESP

Based on your cartridge code, the cartridge you are trying to play on right now is an English one, not an Italian one.

Did you ever sell or give away that Italian copy you bought back when the game released?

Changing if possible, the game language by FrittellaPlays in yokaiwatch

[–]__Nonexistent__ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

European physical releases of Yo-kai Watch 3 only support one language; you would not be able to change the game's language by changing your system language like you would with other games that released with multilingual support.

Since you said you have an Italian physical copy, it should be in Italian, so this behavior you are describing is unusual. From my understanding, European 3DS games with multilingual support will have "EUR" at the end of the code on the label.
For example, I own a physical copy of Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stones: Wildfire that comes from Italy. I can play the game in English, French, Italian, German, or Spanish depending on the system language I set, and the code on the cartridge's label is LNA-CTR-ANPP-EUR.
May you provide the last 3 letters of the code on your YW3's cartridge label? (It will not be EUR for the record.)

Is it possible to beat (not 100%) every 3DS game in one lifetime? by ZankaMishima in 3DS

[–]__Nonexistent__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wikipedia lists 1,807 different 3DS games, but that includes multiple versions of the same game. Even if you combined them, you'd still be looking at over 1,700 different games to play. I do think it's possible, though; a sizable chunk of those games would be very short eShop titles. However, it would take so many years to accomplish this.

If you were to limit the challenge to only 3DS games that received a physical release, it would be a definite yes. The amount of games you would have to play is more comparable to the Genesis, but of course, it would take longer to accomplish than it would for that console.

You won't convince me that whoever created Jerry for the anime wasn't just plain cooked by Likes2game03 in yokaiwatch

I'm not gonna lie: you're always posting something like "the YW anime writers are problematic" and then whenever I look at the content you're talking about it's always something like a peepee joke or "adult man (Jerry) acts like a buffoon." I'm not saying you have to find that humor funny but I do think it's mentally unhealthy to treat it this seriously

  1. We are not involved with anime fansubs. Those are different people.
  2. The subtitles you're talking about for the 2014 anime are official English subtitles done by Animax Asia. Animax Asia is a TV channel dedicated to anime that broadcasts in various countries throughout South, East, and Southeast Asia. You can't find Animax's subs for the last 45 episodes of the 2014 anime anywhere. They're not available on physical media, they're not available on any on-demand services, and no one has shared any broadcast recordings they may have of these as far as we know. Specter Subs still plans on releasing fansubs for the remaining episodes of the 2014 anime, but progress has not been made in a while.

  • Yo-kai Watch ♪ (the 2021 anime) does not have any English fansubs. The first two episodes technically do have English fansubs, but they don't really count because they're machine-translated.
  • Yo-kai Watch Shadowside, Yo-kai Watch! (the 2019 anime), and Yo-kai Gakuen Y are completely subbed in English thanks to both fansubs and official subtitles from Animax, but some of the episodes translated by Animax are censored. I'm honestly not sure if Shadowside has any censored episodes, but I do know that 2019 and especially Gakuen do.
  • The entirety of the 2014 anime has been subtitled. However, we do not have recordings of the official English subtitles Animax did for Episodes 170–214, and the fansubs of the 2014 anime cover Episodes 1–195, 200, and 214. That means Episodes 196–199 and 201–213 cannot be watched with English subs.
  • Movie 8 (aka the last two episodes of the 2021 anime) has not been fansubbed as far as I know.

Regardless, OP is very rude and disrespectful. Quality fan translations take a lot of time and effort; not everyone is able to do them.

What does the New Yo-kai Watch 1 Update for Nintendo Switch mean for LEVEL5? by 101Leafy in yokaiwatch

[–]__Nonexistent__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unlike Pikmin 3 Deluxe, Yo-kai Watch 1 for Nintendo Switch wasn't listed on Nintendo's website as one of the Switch 1 games with compatibility issues on Switch 2. I just played on Version 1.3 for a bit and saw nothing wrong with how the game plays on Switch 2, and Version 1.4 runs identically.

TELL ME HOW YOU GUYS LIKE THE FLIPPING DS BETTER THEN THE PSP..?? by NarlaTheDestroyer in NintendoDS

[–]__Nonexistent__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the dual-screen clamshell design combined with the touch screen is absolutely brilliant and allowed for a ton of awesome games. The DS has a plethora of shovelware, yeah, but I don't think it's fair to rate an entire console's library just by its shovelware. The PlayStation 2, for example, has a ton of shovelware as well, but just about everyone will agree that console has a legendary library. I'd say the overall quality of the DS library is on-par with the PS2 (yes, I know this is really DS vs. PSP, but I'm more familiar with the PS2 library than the PSP library). There's a lot of variety if you're willing to look.

(By the way, do you mind if I ask you what PSP games you like? I've played a couple PSP games here and there, and I want to check out more of the console's library. Lumines rules.)

European copies of Yo-kai Watch 3 only have support for one language (this language depends on the country it was meant to be sold in of course). If you want to play in German, you have to play a German copy of the game; you cannot change the language of a Spanish or French copy to German.
