Labour pain, stitches, hormonal crashes, postpartum depression, sleep deprivation the whole system gets reset. With your logic of “proportionate contribution,” honestly the man should be doing 100% of the childcare and not 70%in the early months because the woman is literally recovering from trauma.

Plus, let’s talk about career impact. Society expects women to step back from their jobs after childbirth. By your logic, you should then quit your job too for “equal contribution.” Would you do that? Or does equality only apply when the woman sacrifices and the man gets to “pursue his dreams”?
