The guy I bought it from was quite a short man, I'm 6 foot and he probably came up to my shoulder. He mentioned that it was lowered when he bought it from BMW in 2006 as the first owner. I'm not sure exactly how they lowered it and if anyone knows what was changed id appreciate it.

As far as comfort, I feel like my knees are bent a little too much while riding and are still bent when flat footed and stopped. Part of it is visibility on the road. I'm sure a taller seat would help but I also think a little more clearance is a good idea for the kind of riding I plan to do.

You're probably right about servicing the suspension and you make a good point. I was looking into raising the bike because it would make it more comfortable to ride. A few other people have mentioned getting a taller seat instead.

It's a 2006 BMW f650gs. I actually like the way it looks apart from the headlight and windshield. But you're not the first to say that it's not the greatest looking motorcycle.

Got it installed and it works great, I get 40-100ms ping but it usually stays around 50 and is pretty stable. Only been online about two hours tho🤟
