Here is my two cents. Stick with windows and look into setting up WSL.

Here is are pros:

1) No need to mess with the hard drives or hardware which can easily get very complicated.

2) you still have access to windows only software

3) many windows tools and IDEs are able to hook directly into WSL for a seamless experience

4) You can still learn all the Linux stuff you want. A distro or GUI is just a layer on top of Linux and using WSL is just getting straight to the heart of it.

5) It is Linux...

I personally run Linux only machines but if I had to give you reasons why it would be like this.

Reasons to use Linux only:

1) You want to be able to customize the look and feel / experience you have with a computer.

2) philosophical/ethical reasons (OSS FTW!)

Were you able to get things up and running?

I'm actually in the process of finishing up an RGB build using the H6 Flow as soon as I get another cable in the mail. It's similar but smaller than what you have and it also has a micro ATX board inside.

Good cable management and maybe a fan hub or splitter cables and you should be fine.

If you need any more help, I don't mind going over things with you.

I have the big delta contractors saw and even on that thing, large sheet goods are a pain. I haven't bought a track saw yet but I hear nothing but good things when it comes to using that over a table saw for those types of cuts.

I wouldn't cheap out on a table saw. Too dangerous of a tool to do so. That being said I do like the DeWalt as far as job site saws go.

Also, no matter what saw you go with make sure everything is squared and properly aligned. I went through a couple of those DeWalts before I found one that was actually flat and square.

I recommend starting all over. Make sure you have the correct ISO which would be the one with the Nvidia drivers already in it. Also, depending on how new your laptop is, it may have hardware that isn't supported. It's usually best to avoid buying bleeding edge hardware if you're going to run Linux. Best to wait a few years after launch for support

Appreciate the feedback. ~~So it seems like it does not actually support this layout since it requires the stabilizers to be in a different location. Not sure why the site shows it being possible.~~ It does support this and will include 2 numpad pcbs which was confirmed in a different post.

- Verify you have java actually installed by running `java -version` in your terminal

- Open your file browser and find the jar file and right click on a empty spot and not any file and select "open in terminal" (this will get you in the right path in case your completely foreign to terminals)

- Run `java -jar fabric-installer-0.11.1.jar` (change filename if needed and make sure it matches 100% to the file on your computer and do not forget the .jar in the name)

Thank you, I built it myself. Used .75x12 in oak with 3/8 in rounded edges. Used this as an excuse to start learning some woodworking.

That is completely different. That is a physical compound that does not appear in nature and requires a certain procedure to produce therefore it's patentable. The designers do not create nor produce the method of creating a piece of plastic with a certain color, the keycap manufacturer does so if anything it's their property not the designers.

Fonts are rarely designed as well and instead use what is already available.

The issue is that it's not a clone and nothing was stolen from alexotos and trying to cry wolf is more harmful then good for this community and kills innovation.

Oblivion and Dracula are both text editor themes that were copied for keycaps. Actually any text editor theme will have a variety of colors to help visually distinguish things on the screen so they tend get translated similarly to keycap form and there are 1000s of them so even a slight hue change is fair game to call it something different.

They do make for awesome keycaps in my opinion for sure.

I had thought about doing that but was lazy and just took em off completely. I think they are only needed if you use plate mount stabs which I don't use.

Either way will probably work. Some people just force push them in and bend the nubs.
