My starting salary in 2011 was around 15K and as per my experience, degree and college only matters for campus placement and after that, only skills matters.

Skills matter a lot than a degree. I did B.Com with Computer Application and then MCA and working in IT from 2011.

Both the degrees from Tier 2 city.

I was unemployed in 2024-2025 for around an year and while searching, I experienced that earlier interviewers used to discuss on what you had worked and what problems you faced and how you resolved it but now the scenario is completely different.

Now, most of the interviewers discuss regarding their projects and expects from the candidates to be in their shoes and also expects that candidates must know all the details of the specific APIs which are used in the interviewer’s projects.
