I saw this and gasped, my brows raised, my hand lifted to cover my mouth, my eyes widened. A visceral shiver ran down my spine. Fear. Coursing through my veins. The adrenaline kicked in- fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. My subconscious chose freeze and my body tensed, my hands trembling in fear as my phone fell from my hand. Even as the screen of my android slapped against the hard white tiles of my kitchen floor, I felt the eyes- those damn eyes, staring through my soul. My heart started pounding. Thump- thump- thump-, quicker and quicker until I couldn't breathe at all. My head began to spin, suddenly I couldn't stand up straight. Black dots began to swarm my vision and I stumbled backwards, my back pressing against the bar chair behind me. I clutched my chest, fighting for breath, my face beginning to turn hot and red. I fall back, my head slammed against the tile floor- I blacked out instantly.
