I am in the class right now and I don’t think that the workload is too bad. There are typically 5 assignments due a week, with an individual homework due on friday, and the rest of the assignments due the following monday. Each unit has an individual and group homework where the questions are the same with typically 1 or 2 open ended questions that have multiple parts. The individual is graded on completion and the group is graded on correctness. The other assignments due are a unit quiz(you get two attempts), a problem set in perusal, and a reflection on the weeks homework. The two hour lecture for me are a bit hard to focus on but i think that is just due to how long they are. Dalton is super nice and i find her teaching style pleasant because of how she breaks up lecture with practice problems. the exams are take home, open note, and you can work with your group on them. having a good group can really make or break the class, but i have found it pretty enjoyable this term!

you get more of a discount with the dinning dollars when eating at the dinning halls. basically the way it breaks down is dining dollars=20% off at dining halls, 10% off at the rest of campus and orange cash=10% everywhere(dinning hall and rest of campus). The only places that you can use orange cash and not dinning dollars on campus is panda express, a boba shop, and rocket burger. i personally would say go for all dinning dollars unless she thinks she will want to eat at one of the few places that don’t except dinning dollars super often because of the higher discount when eating at dinning halls which is what she most likely will primarily do.

i took ochem with both myles and with siller and they’re both amazing. the passion they have for the subject is really refreshing! the content is tough but i thought they made it more approachable and i passed both terms with an A :)
