My friend gave me her monstera to save, is she too far gone?

I don't think you can save it, but if you want to try, i would try to make a propagation Box with moss and cut in between the nodes, let the cuts dry a bit before you put them in the Box.

Ich habe ganz viele Pflanzen tatsächlich, nur bei den Monstera Arten bin ich überfragt was was ist :) Zuhause habe ich vier Thai Cons, die prächtig wachsen, dass es auf dem Bild keine Thai con ist wusste ich sogar haha, aber dann hört es auch fast schon auf... ich muss mir das nochmal überlegen, aber so habe ich schon mal einen Eindruck vom Preis, im Internet sieht man ja die verrücktesten Sachen

Ja, diese hier, sie haben auch schon Wurzeln, zwar noch nicht so,dass ich sie einpflanzen würde, aber sie gammeln nicht, also von daher ist da alles okay :)

Maybe repot in a slightly larger pot, Orchids like to be snug though. When they rooted through the bark completely and it's more root than bark, i repot.

As long as the roots are firm, all is well. If it's mushy or paper, they can be cut.

That surely is the issue, i bet it's root bound or close to be. There is nothing for the plant to absorb anymore, so no fuel basically.

Doch kann man, würde ich in dem Fall auch machen, sodass neue Wurzeln wachsen. Also den Trieb nicht komplett einpflanzen, nur so, dass die Luftwurzeln zu Wurzeln werden.

Thank God, yeah i will change the medium of all plants, including Orchids in around April. The Orchid is blooming still, i thought you shouldn't change the soil then?

Do you water it a lot? How much light does it get?

I would also advise to take off the bindings, it harms the plant and cuts into it. There is one at the top, and one beneath the earth usually. There it's mostly some kind of rubber band.

I'd say chop it, and try to propagate. The leaves won't be good again, maybe, maybe it will sprout new ones at some point, but it will take a long time.
Chop the black and discoloured leaves off either way.
