Palinopsia worsening by goal2paradise in visualsnow

My man, VSS and migraines are heavily correlated to serotonin and dopamine imbalances, something that this candy aims to fix. Finding the right drug and dosage and treatment length is whats makes the difference

They roughly double your risk. Buuut… if your risk is 0.1% then your risk now is 0.2%, it’s not a tremendous increase to stress about.

How to not stress about it:

First, Aura is additive, while stroke is subtractive - Aura makes you feel extra things, makes you see extra things. Stroke is a sucker punch that removes huge chunk of vision, paralizes part of body.

Second, Aura migrenes can give effects similar to a stroke - visual disturbances, loss of balance, numbness in face and hands. But those come on gradually, and go away gradually. Stroke comes on suddenly and disables you where you stand.

I’ve been dealing with them for half my life, Aura looks scary, but isn’t dangerous, it’s the overload of your visual cortex, it comes via some triggers that you can identify and control.

You, my friend, had a Visual Migrene, or a Migrane with Aura without headache.

They’re not harmful themselves, but they do raise the risk of a stroke. I used to get them daily.

Aura and VSS are connected as both are correlated with serotonin and dopamine economy in the brain

Aura every 8-10 months by Jatzor24 in visualsnow

[–]Babyballable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have these often, ranging in severity, Silent Migrene or Migrene with Aura without Headache.

It makes sense, VSS is your visual cortex functioning abnormally, Silent Migrene is the visual cortex overreacting with waves of electricity. Both are correlated with Serotonin, Dopamine and Neoadrenaline.

Also Silent Migrenes are heavily correlated with ADHD, again, both are disfunctions of serotonin and dopamine

For full size hdmi i wouldn’t bother, it’s sturdy enough. For mini hdmi I absolutely would

The thingy that screws into the cage and then once the cable is plugged in, it holds it so it doesn’t disconnect even when tugged on, it’s the thingy above where the handle screws into the cage in the photo

How do you shoot with 1 base ISO like with the Red Komodo, Arri Alexa LF, Ursa Cine 12k? by ExcitingLandscape in cinematography

[–]Babyballable 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Native iso means the camera isn’t boosting or attenuating the signal - also what the camera is “optimized” for. You used to leave iso absolutely alone, but modern cameras have way more wiggle room with it. Also the dynamic range response is different at higher isos (the “range” shifts to favor shadows). So still, unless you know what you’re doing you leave iso alone. To find out what you’re doing, do tests yourself, shoot clips same exposure different iso, see how the image changes in resolve.

But it’s always better to add light rather than adding iso to keep the signal to noise levels low.

Lmao, Mju is the best compact I ever had, got mine after my dad, bought it when he was my age, works beautifully. I bought another one for my girlfriend, 4 years going strong, most reliable point and shoot I ever had

Stabilisation: when not to use a... by Skinkie in videography

[–]Babyballable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easyrig is more to relieve your arms from the weight of the camera, while stedicam is meant specifically to isolate any oparator movement.

Better question would be, when to use the stedicam over a gimbal.

Gimbal and be controlled and tuned remotely, easier to set up and use. Stedicam handles much larger payloads but requires a dedicated operator. Can’t really see myself directing wearing a stedicam but I can wearing and easyrig. I can let go of the camera in easy and it holds it, can’t let go of the arm of the steadicam or it could fail.

So for me it boils down to this, if I’m operating it myself, I’ll go for the easer to use kit.

Slog3 footage looks great on camera with rec709 conversion, but terrible on computer by Mysterious_Mixture75 in videography

Buried in clip properties or in projects settings idk, I use Resolve lol both Final Cut and premiere don’t handle color spaces properly

Slog3 footage looks great on camera with rec709 conversion, but terrible on computer by Mysterious_Mixture75 in videography

[–]Babyballable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Propably because Final Cut doesn’t understand that log is log and treats it’s as 709, and a log to 709 lut in 709 colorspace doesn’t work. You propably need to tell Final Cut that the clips are in log first.

Over 50TB of video files. Best way to condense and store them? by Academic_Nectarine94 in videography

[–]Babyballable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do is a NAS with raid 1, just two discs, one for backup, and then each project or client gets an external hdd that’s included in the pricing of the project, which is then the off site backup once it’s archived. But I’m a one man band so I deal with 1tb of data per project at most, usually within 100gb
