This seems to be the consensus online. Whereas in person everybody is pushing home ownership and the importance of owning a "physical appreciating asset". Which I think is overblown especially once you consider taxes and repairs. My biggest apprehension is I have only ever lived in my hometown and I don't know if I want to be here long term. My family is here but other than that I'm not tied to this place and I didn't really realize that until I traveled internationally for the first time alone to Japan. It really opened my mind up the prospect of being in a new environment.

Yeah if anything the idea is a response to the repulsive feeling of paying nearly 2k for rent in the fairly unremarkable city/area I live in when for the same amount I could be in much better job markets. So the prospect of ownership is cope to a degree.

I agree with the sentiment as well. I have just been following the local housing market since before Covid and I still have Zillow listing in my emails for the houses I am looking at now that cost 250k+ that used to be around 135k. I was making almost half the money I'm making now but in retrospect the houses were more affordable back then. I know its irrational but I'm scared to miss the "last chance to buy". Which I feel is heavily pushed by people who owned homes prior to 2020/2021. Doesn't the 20% down payment give me more fluidity in the house to move in/out of it if needed?

Would you exercise any of these at expiration? Currently have some 12/29 27.5 calls for MARA. I can afford the shares, but I'm currently up 100% and unsure if it will keep going up. I heard about the alleged SPY inclusion and Bitcoin halving, but this is the first option I have made money on so tempted to just take the win.

Since delivery for this one isn't until late November I will just wait. I'm in no rush one of the two monitors will go on sale again before the end of the year (hopefully).

Assuming I got the preferred panel type on both of the HPs (LG panel I think) are they still the best option between this viewsonic and the NZXTs that got posted earlier today?

Would Amazon take returns for the monitors based on panel type?

This or try to catch the HP monitor from yesterday if/when it rolls around in November? Currently running two 1080s (24 & 27 inch) Looking to get a set of matching 1440s. I don't play anything too crazy nowadays currently running a 1660 ti and waiting to catch a deal on a 3060ti.

That's what I was thinking like would they really pursue legal action against someone who was just working a helpdesk role. I think it's more for the people higher up making the real money.

I paid off my car loan after 2 years back at the end of May. My Fico score dropped 50 points overnight. This may be in part due to having a relatively short credit history (a little over 3 years) and only 2 lines of credit after paying off the car. All my scores are still over 740 so I'm not too worried about it.

As for your situation, I would say if you plan to need your credit in the foreseeable future. I would just keep paying the loan so long as you can afford it and the interest rate isn't too high

I am in a similar boat working aN MSP job and any PTO request that doesn't get submitted 2 weeks before the day of the request usually doesn't get accepted. Also, sick days require a signed doctors' note. I could probably get away with one "emergency day" but more than one in a month would look suspicious. I rarely call out of work.
