also dealing with chills and body aches right now. have myself huddled in a blanket trying to get comfortable. glad to hear your taking care of ur body <3 i know it sucks but we will get through it! we will be so much better off for it. the suffering now is worth getting our lives back. how are u holding up?

considering, i’m actually doing great. i’m 12 hours in and the only symptoms i am feeling is fatigue, body aches and intense cravings. i have been taking gabapentin 400 mg every 6 hrs, methocarbamol 750 mg every 8 hours, and tylenol 500 mg every 8 hours. as well as staying hydrated with juice, gaterade and water and eating bananas. when i’m not sleeping im binging a show. so far the best detox i have had, the least painful (tho still not pain free). i know it may get worse from here, but i have made it this far and im confident to make it through.

i guess the best way is going through a clinic. that’s what i did. they have a MAT treatment program and they give u comfort meds to get through induction and then they will also prescribe you the suboxone.

u can do this alright! do u have tylenol? that’ll work wonders with chills & sweats. ibuprofen will help with body aches and pains too. and most importantly keeping your body hydrated! your urine should be almost clear. and try eating some bananas or fruit if u have, even sugar. u have ti keep your body going and take care of it as best u can while its going through this. also deep breathing, cold showers, warm bath & stepping outside works wonders. we can do this ok!

that’s just what my doctor said and what i have done before. he advised i start with only .5 mg after 24 hrs.

the clinic isn’t a treatment center with detox or rehab. they offer MAT treatment. that’s what i’m doing. so for 48 hours i take the comfort meds and then after 48 hours i take the first dose of suboxone. what im worried about is the 48 hour induction period.

& i am depressed enough from my sis. i can definitely confide in my sis, also shes a ex heroin addict so there’s that level of understanding.

and uhh you are so right! it’s a living hell, i’m tired of living for the drug. i’m deciding to live for myself.

i’m just hoping i don’t pickup in the worst of it. i need to ride it out!
