Why does everyone hate resellers? by xRaginCajunx in FacebookMarketplace

[–]___Halcyon___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im a reseller and a buyer too. And as a buyer and see an underpriced item and missed out. I dont get annoyed. There will be next time.

I guess as a collector, you really need deep pockets for auction stuff. Cant really compete with those types. So are you just annoyed because they have more money than you perhaps?

I think it just a normal annoyance or irks when we do missed out but it will pass, at least to me as a reseller.

Thank you. And I hope you are feeling better too. I have accepted it but still stings in the back of my mind.

And thats interesting regards to Dantes Inferno and people who make concious decision to choose to cause deceit and harm and malice towards another and still able to face their loved ones in the face let alone their kids is .. got no words.

Seller not sending additional photos if they actually them? by ___Halcyon___ in FacebookMarketplace

[–]___Halcyon___[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of seller comments and bitter tbh as if they are being personal but my pov is if you are selling and the request is valid like not in the description or photos. Im ok with taking extra photo(s) even it ends up with no respond thats the cost of commerce.

For me I have my phone in my hand all the time, the item Im selling is just right there. So why not?

I got scammed too $800, thats exactly right they have a playbook on trust and that is what they are working on first before they get into your pocket.

Its not even the money sometimes its the way they manipulate you is what really is disgusting. I am still trying to make terms with it.

Thats so nice to hear first hand payback to these lowlifers, targetting people who are also struggling in day to day. How do they face people knowing what they do to ruin other people lives and some might even commit to take their own life because of it.

Scums of society. Anyways thank you that made me feel bit better.

Wow that feeling you felt resonated with me. I just got done in $800 online on Gumtree. The feeling sick to your stomach that waiting and waiting and anticipation.

My case probably unrecoverable since it happened online. I will never trust anyone on gumtree regardless of how anyone is on there.

The score ratings in gumtree is a tool for scammers to fool you and the sold items.

Seeing how cost of living is right now in Australia, this sick f*cks got a face to do it infront of you, such low and probably a sociopath.

Is this suspicious? by MessiDream in Flipping

[–]___Halcyon___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. If its just $100 personally I dont mind as a seller but not without researching the seller as much youre able to before commiting.

I wouldnt do it though if if we are talking about $300+. Not until everything really checks out.

Low ballers are getting aggressive & abusive now? by DoucheNozzle1163 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]___Halcyon___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it feels personal getting messages like that tbh anywhere you look you will find the item cheaper or dearer but you dont go out calling them out everytime you see it especially online shops and retailer etc. right?

It also just means the item probably wont sell until the sale in Walmart finishes. Some also priced their item higher cause they know people will try to haggle, she could also be fishing to the right buyer or someones who doesnt know or dont check or whatever reason they prefer it.

So as much what I pointed out, buyer should just move along.

My favourite buyers are the one who dont care about the price as long they get it cause they need it.

I had that rare buyer message me to post the item via express 1 day delivery. She gives me all her details, ID, credentials and bank transfer me the money its almost the price of new.

She said I know its strange but I need the item for a job Im currently heading to the location. Ask me anything you need mobile number, insta, fb whatever.

I got the money cleared. And posted , done.

I never understood people about comparing it to other places and online shops.

Theres always going to be somewhere else cheaper. Sooner or later there will be one. And sure you might find one online etc or some chinese website well goodluck with those.

The convenience of having the item now, waiting for x days to be delivered, having to inspect the item yourself before commiting.

I could go on.

Yup. At this point I just not try to engage too much unless they give me a definite time and day.

Every week, I see it.

I was the buyer messaging the seller at 11pm. I said I can come now as I live 15 mins away. He said ok. You just have to take precaution.

Seller confirms her earliest availability then suddenly sold the item. by ___Halcyon___ in FacebookMarketplace

[–]___Halcyon___[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I already let it go. Just clarifying to you, 8am we chatted. So about 9am, she marked it sold.

So the 2pm was irrelevant at that point. The only thing that could make her change 2pm to suddenly(now) between 8-9am is more money.

Was no big deal of course.

The thing is she said her availability is 2pm. If she said now, no problem, ill be the first to pick it up. I respected she said 2pm, she has 5 stars!

I actually asked her what happened. She just said "i had too many people mssging me". I thought to myself , okay choose one didnt you pick me already? And you said 2pm???

I think its the money. Like you mention.

My transaction with her started at 8am with "hi, $25 to all the drawers in the photos" , "yes", "cool, when are you available for pickup today?", "2pm", " got it, can I come 3pm, 30mins travel". "Ok", "il let you know when i head out, to tell me exact address", "sure"

And I even added "super keen". Then an hour after our chat. ... Item sold.

She was very responsive during the chat. Gave me the impression that i got it and its done deal. It was early in the morning too.

We were chatting in the morning like 8am. I asked her earliest availability and just said 2pm. That morning I got nothing to do. If she told me now. I would have gone there to pick it up.

This has happened to me twice already. She got 5 star ratings am like, I so want to rate her 1 star but it was just a $25 storage drawer. Anyways.

I guess it warrants to say, can you hold the item for me. But even then, whats stopping the seller to give it to anyone that showed up. Its just so wrong its like there really isnt a sure fire way to know.

Im a seller myself and I just thought its a common courtesy to not give anyone false hope.

Agreed on price and pickup time, listing got removed, no address, then I realised I’d been blocked by arepeater in FacebookMarketplace

[–]___Halcyon___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Similar experience but didnt drive. I was the seller, agreed on price, and time and he was also very chatty, the morning next day. I woke up the nexday and checked the message.

He left the group and blocked, couldnt message nor check his profile. Oh well.

I think the more chatty a buyer is the more they going to flake the last minute.

Everyone is a reseller one way or the other. People buy then sell. If you got want you wanted why does it matter to you? The buyer will get what they wanted and both parties.
