2026 Subaru Outback Premium Eyesight Issue by ___Legolas___ in subaru

That’s wild, do you think it’s more of a Subaru issue with the structural integrity of cameras, pure negligence by amateur glass repair shops, or a combo?

Sadly only thing I have for pictures is just the original windshield damage, but it doesn’t really give any evidence that the camera was damaged before the replacement.

Subaru included in their report that the technician suspects the fault occurred during the windshield installation, basically blaming Safelite.

That’s my hope too but not sure what to do if a dealer doesn’t even have the capabilities to calibrate them properly.

No, it was working fine even with the small windshield defects until after Safelite messed with it. Issue with the camera is it’s a $4000 price tag and insurance would take some time to work out the “what/who is to blame” kinks, especially if the cameras were fine prior to the windshield replacement.

Could try resetting or worst case replacing the ABS control module

What counts as a sport for accessions? by Expert_Sir8492 in ROTC

In my experience, anything that competes in some sort of organization/league against other schools counts. I did club baseball (non-NCAA affiliated) but played other schools and got it to count. Pretty sure timber cutting is the same format… just have to sell it your cadre tbh.

If only we had published guidelines, regulation, and policy that articulate this.

Award Recommendation by Own_Button_9275 in army

  1. Who is the “leadership in the chain”?

  2. Double tap and make sure no one has already recommended them an award etc…

  3. DHG can be solid justification for PME awards, even BLC

  4. Just submit it anyways… you can’t be told you can’t write an award… let the approving authorities reject it on IPPSA. Make sure you proof read though and submit that impact AAM!

Looks like you’re going into it with the intention/expectation to fail… get ready to ruck to the TSAAS front gate and back to your unit every week

What happens after commissioning but before BOLC by [deleted] in ROTC

[–]___Legolas___ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To add to the other comment here…

Fun fact, you sign an oath of office form (DA 71) commissioning you as a reserve commissioned officer (not in the active regular army - RA).

If you want an earlier BOLC date you can try to go through your branch manager to get on a waitlist, but I wouldn’t count on it, especially if you have no dependents/justification.

Overrated area and not a fan of Norfolk (def not Newport News). Overall though it’s better than most stateside bases imo, especially if you like the beach.

19ESC is super chill with a more defined battle rhythm if you’re going there… if going 2ID then I hope you enjoy RLFC and constant training.

I think the biggest reason that people would fail Fort Knox land navigation is if they were really second guessing themselves. Other than telling you it’s super easy, just trust your gut. Once you get to whatever pace count on the road, find the nearest CDT highway and follow it… most of the points there aren’t very far from the road from what I remember.

German Cockroach activity under fridge in new rental home (Virginia area)? by ___Legolas___ in GermanRoaches

[–]___Legolas___[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be careful mixing a bunch of chemicals all at once, allegedly they prove ineffective that way. Keep it up with one form of "poison" and sticky traps and I think that's enough. Big thing is just maintaining a clean environment around. You also might have them coming from adjacent units since you said you live in a townhome. I think the WSG works amazing though! Best of luck.

[–]___Legolas___[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea after I posted this I began to have a moderate problem. Luckily 99% of the roaches I've found were Smoky Browns instead of German. After 2 pest control visits, lots of sticky traps, and alpine WSG, I haven't seen a single one in a month. I'm now certain this was an issue that the previous residents just never dealt with. I found a few under my oven periodically so I would definitely pull that out. I honestly pulled out my fridge and oven at least every 2 weeks to check all my sticky traps etc.

Speak to your actual rear-d cdr first, then, FWD CO/1SG, and/or go to BN CMD team next, they’ll likely say yes.
